I'll be there!

I almost missed out on this tour, but that's just too close to NOT go. I'll get to see Storms live...yay!

I'm tempted because it's a on a weekend, and any excuse to visit NOLA works for me. I need to think about it (think about it before I goooo....). :rolleyes:

I'll pass on what may be my last chance to see the MAC.
I'll let them "go their own way".

I saw on the TM site that you could not buy tickets for this show unless you had a Louisianna address? Was this just for a pre-sale? I've never seen that before...

My brother is there and just told me "Stevie Singing an accapella song about boubon st and french QTR, feathers and vampires" :eek:

I know - I hope someone got it on tape or video!

I got a review from my brother - - he said the band looked and sounded great. He said La Nicks was smiling a lot and LB tore it up. He is a casual fan and was curious why LB and La Nicks were holding hands when they "broke up." Then, my sister in law pointed out that LB was wearing a wedding ring. I was like "wel . . . " :laugh: :rolleyes:

What a great show! Kristin K. and I are working on a review, but first, to answer some burning questions!

No Silver Springs last night. They cut the show short and hustled off with a police escort out of the arena. Guess they had a plane to catch or something.

But - what you're all waiting for - the vampire song!

Before Landslide, Stevie came to the microphone by herself and said something to the effect of, "After it happened, I was glued to my couch like everyone else, and I wanted to write something. I wanted to be positive because I knew you would come back. I've waited a long time to say this to you so I'm going to sing a little bit of a song I wrote now." She took a deep breath, then broke into the song acapella. She sang several bars of it. I wish I could remember all the words, but I can't. Hopefully someone got a video or recording. What words we can remember - it started out "I want to go back to New Orleans. I want to wear feathers and beads." Then the next lines had something about wearing lace and going to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. Towards the end was something like "I wanna brush by the vampires in the street." Then, after she stopped singing, she said "There's a whole song that goes with that." Wonder if we'll ever hear it?

It was a very special, emotional moment.

I'm sorry but this just cracks me up. I'd be sitting there somberly thinking about the Katrina aftermath and then I'd hear the vampire thing and I'd die laughing.

Well look. This song has already gotten one more live performacne than Illume did, so go Stevie.
