Kiss & Run
 

I feel like I am going a little nuts here.

I know for sure there was a song called "Kiss & Run" on one of the Tusk reissues that came out a few years ago. I didn't actually purchase the reissue, but I listened to it on a streaming service, loved that track and put it on a playlist of favorite tunes. I realized recently as I got back into a FM phase that it hadn't come up on shuffle in a long time and sought it out, only to find it's no longer there! So I looked it up on YouTube and it's not there either! So I went to iTunes to see if I could purchase just that track from the Tusk reissue they have and it's not on THAT either.

I'm not making this song up, I'm certain of that. Why did this song ghost us?!

You're not making this up. It was on the Tusk Rhino reissue that came out about, what, eight years ago? And then the Deluxe edition came out and rendered the first reissue kind of null--excepting Kiss and Run. It was a Jorge Calderon song that he did for an album in 1978, I think. I have his version from iTunes. The FM version is far more interesting.

Yes, it's a cool version. According to the song info at my itunes, it's track 18 of Tusk [Expanded] (2 of 2).

And yes, if I search Tusk Expanded in the iTunes store, Kiss&Run is not included anymore. It is not the original Expanded edition.

It’s a very short little thing. Sounds like the three singers and Mick on congas just played around with it for a few minutes when they got bored tracking Never Make Me Cry or something.

I wish that Deluxe included everything from Extended but it does not. I found these things on Extended, which you can’t find on Deluxe:

• Never Make Me Cry

So the completist really needs to buy both Extended and Deluxe.
