Greeny's gig 1984-12-13

Hello from Poland
You can download the file - petegreen1984-12-13.wma
from http://tela.sugarmegs.org/sugaree/
This is (for me) very interesting show because I've never before heard Greeny's live performance from 1979-84.

I've found the information on Ledge about Kolors gig from 1984-12-15 posted by dino.
Maybe this is the same gig - but apart from the date also the total time is different from time of Stuttgart gig.
Does anybody know details?

15/12/84 STUTTGART, GERMANY (W. KOLORS) AU, B+ 113 (2 cd-r) (inc. "big boy now")
A long show that has better playing, but Greeny's guitar sound (as on all 1984 gigs) is
very clean, totally unlike Gothenburg 1983 and F. Mac-era. The only live version of "Big boy now".

It's a different show, Krzysztof. There was a discussion about these two shows a couple of years ago:

I don't speak polish...

...but thank you very much for the link, Kowk. The quality of the sound is very good.
I have never heard anything from this period either, official recordings or otherwise. Also thank you for all the other information.

Very basically african in rhytm. It is perculiar how PG is making an attempt to give his vocal a reggae-touch. Can't hide the blues-feeling though.
He does not seem very interested in singing at this point. He stopped touring for over ten years after this.

Afte shovelling a foot of snow from my driveway, i took a bath and listened to the show .

I would say that anyone in the audience would have went home with a smile on their face

PS. I have never sold anyt(h)ing to another ledgie, but have on passed on stuff that was given to me or I personally owned a copy of or I recorded myself

I find that there are a lot of fine upstanding compatriots that would say the same

sincerely,
vinnie c
