I have no idea, maybe because it doesn't appear to be about the guy who she wrote most of the other songs about?

This song has been stuck in my head for the last 2 days.:D

Hmmmm...yeah, I wonder why it wasn't. I know of a couple of songs on the album it could replace.

Probably just a "time" issue...too many songs for one disc...not enough for two. She did the same thing with her 1984 album, too...there was one song left over..."Too Much Is Not Enough". (she played it live & it was the B-side to one of the singles)

if you were to substitute one track on ITM for this one, which would it be? i pick 'bad journey', for no real reason other than it's the only song on the album that i never warmed up to.

shackin'up 09-11-2006 04:16 PM

to be honest....I think this sounds ten times better than 90 percent of the album.....what a nice swing and what a great vocal in the verses!

Thanks for posting!

NO!!!!! In fact, that's one of my faves on the album!

I was thinking more either "Liar" or "Sweet Revenge"...but, even those would be tough to replace.

- although the "one thing could lead to another, i think we should stay sister and brother..." bit confuses me a bit....sounds great though!

MacMan 09-11-2006 05:45 PM

"Too Much Is Not Enough" was not a B-side to any of her singles, at least that I know. She thought of re-recording it & releasing it as a B-side, but I don't think she ever did. She did play it on her tour though.

This promo CD is only 54 minutes long. That's not too long for 1 CD. I wouldn't want to lose any of the songs currently on ITM.

Me too. That's why I don't think she wrote it about the mystery guy who inspired the album.
