LOL please tell me this is sarcasm, right?

Most of the interesting things they added to the set have since been taken off the set.

Fleetwood Mac is way more relevant now that they are covering Tom Petty with a member of the Heartbreakers and Crowded House singing Lindsey Buckingham tunes....riiiiiggghht.

Look at the setlist this time around. Blues band hits and rarities. Cover songs. Isn't it Midnight. Lindsey purportedly did not want to do blues songs. And a lot of fans including myself wanted to hear him sing the blues songs of Fleetwood Mac's founder.

The band changed to change the setlist and to stay relevant. Ok, no new music, and that for one is a monetary decision.

Okay....what? I don't even follow any of this. But..

They took the most interesting parts of the new setlist and got rid of them. Stevie bastardizing Black Magic Woman is a big shrug moment for me. You mention Isn't it Midnight - which was replaced with the far more well known Hold Me. Neil sounded fantastic on Hypnotized. That lasted long... Don't Dream It's Over and Free Fallin' in a Fleetwood Mac setlist are simply appalling.

I triple checked the date on this post to make sure I wasn't somehow in a VERY old thread...

^^^All of this is spot on.

I hope this is the last tour. It's time.

He probably will be back if they ask him to. Maybe that changed after his heart surgery. Hard to tell since no one is talking.

Stevie won't leave FM. Ever. She swore she won't be the one to break up the band. And she kept her promise. She chose to fire Lindsey instead.

Mick worships the ground Stevie walks on. He won't betray her with Lindsey. None of them will betray her with Lindsey. They're a united front now.

Stevie Nicks broke up Fleetwood Mac as we knew them. Despite what she wants to believe, she killed the band.

Based on what i've heard from a few music people in LA, this tour is a one-off situation and there is no intention to continue FM with Mike and Neil. I think they're done and I think they're aware that this is the public perception. It's almost as if they decided to go out with negative drama, instead of on a high note.

Interesting, and not at all surprising. Mike is also in the studio with the Dirty Knobs. New music and planning a tour in 2020. I would expect Stevie would go out solo next year. Neil probably has gotten a little surge in popularity so perhaps some new stuff from CH? That leaves John, Christine and Mick.......there's an irony here. #KARMA

They'll be wandering around in orange groves looking for another California couple.

Tee, you have broken my heart. You made me love when you could see into the future and always knew that it would burn to the ground.

Hard to believe Mick is resigned to leaving the "Farewell" money on the table.

True, but I honestly don't think they have what it takes to mount another big tour.
Chris's voice is shot for touring, and who knows how much energy John has left in him.
I think it's a done deal.
Had things gone differently, next year would probably be when Lindsey and Stevie could have put together a Buckingham Nicks reissue project -- but that'll never happen now.

New stuff from CH? Chance would be a fine thing. Neil has zero enthusiasm for that band now. He says the more people say they want new CH stuff the more he just wants to record with his wife and sons. Frustrating for me as I've never gotten into his work solo or with family or his endless charity and collaborative endeavours.

i have no idea whether that means anything, but he did say in that AUS interview that CH is just waiting for him, like an old car parked in the garage up the street, that he might take out for a spin now when he's a bit more known because of the mac stint. he said that in response to question whether he sees any expiration date on his tenure with FM (or something like that) and he basically said they are all old so he doesn't expect much from them.

And we've found MF's next gig--lead drummer for CH. Or the Finn Family Band

Ugh.. I actually like Crowded House and have their most recent albums. Guess I won't be buying the next one if that slimy old MFer is on it .
