Question about Two Different Concerts in Rosebud Film

Hello-

If anyone could help me out on the following, I'd appreciate it. It seems there are two different performances in the Rosebud film: the outdoor daytime concert footage before a huge crowd and what appears to be a performance in a dark (most likely indoor) space with a set featuring a full moon, tree silhouettes, etc.

Can anyone provide the identifying information for the second performance described above? Where it was, date, etc.

Also, unless I'm terribly confused I believe a saw some footage from the same performance that was not in the Rosebud film and that featured the band playing Dreams. Is it known if there are any recordings available of this whole performance (so the stuff in the Rosebud film and the other songs from the performance), in either video or audio?

Thanks!

Ben

Hi Ben, and Welcome to The Ledge!

The Rosebud documentary has been filmed during two different occasions.

The first was a Santa Barbara concert from the white album tour that was filmed at the university campus. The place was near an airport, so the show had to be stopped several times for the huge noise and not all the material was good for release.

The second is a bunch of studio performances that were meant to promote the Rumours album. As I've already said the performances filmed in the open were from the white album tour so in addition to the airport problem there also weren't any songs from the new album that the documentary was supposed to promote, therefore later on a studio was booked for the interviews and additional songs.
