Rank Album Openers and Closers
 

Since we've been doing a lot of rankings lately, how about the opening and closing songs from each of Stevie's albums.

Openers: (Ok I actually found this a lot harder than I expected)
1. Bella Donna
2. Rooms On Fire
3. Wild Heart
4. Blue Denim
5. I Can't Wait
6. Trouble In Shangri-La
7. Starshine
8. Secret Love
Tbh the last 4 can change depending on my mood, but I actually love all her album openers.

Closers:
1. The Highwayman (I'm sure many will disagree, but I love this song ok!)
2. Beauty and the Beast
3. Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You
4. Love Is
5. She Loves Him Still
6. Jane
7. I Still Miss Someone
8. Cheaper Than Free
2,3,and 4 are basically tied for second. I only ranked them because I had to, but I think all 3 are beautiful ballads and some of Stevie's best work.

this is one of her best songs imo and an absolutely perfect album closer. it's very strange to me that it's not very well liked.

I agree. Glad to see there's other The Highwayman fans out there! Her voice is DIVINE on this track!

I love all the closers, not too excited about any of the openers, really.

The top 5 openers I absolutely adore, I think they're amazing and beautiful. The others are great too, but the top 5 for me is really some of her best tracks ever.

Quite frankly I don't care about 6, 7 and 8, hahaha... But the top 5 closers are super beautiful and amazing. I can't even remember Jane and I Still Miss Someone but they're nice when they come on of course. All her music is.

I am fine with Jane. I find it oddly touching.

(really dislike, although I often use the later song in my lower level ESL classes when teaching comparative adjectives--talk about making lemonade :)
