You are welcome and because she announced it, more than likely the show dates are already finalized.

I better start saving!

So once again she is ignoring Europe. Happened at all her tours since 1989. That sucks

Well alas, we have the Hyde Park show this summer. But that will be probably no real 24K Gold-show ...

After she finished singing Moonlight she told the story a bit different than I ever heard her tell it before. This time she said she was in her hotel room in Australia lying on the bed when the movie Moonlight came on. She said she would not have chosen that movie but it was what was on tv and she didn't have the remote control handy so she let it play. She didn't feel like getting out of bed to change the channel. She said most of the movie was kinda boring and then she heard a character say one particular line in the film that totally caught her attention. That particular sentence was something she could relate to from her own life. She couldn't get to the piano fast enough. She sat down and wrote the song Midnight and when she was done she called her assistant(Karen) who she said was tucked away in a room down the hall and told her she was ready to make a new album.

Thank God, for all this time I thought she truly was a Twilight fan.

A lot of people thought that and she was persecuted endlessly for it by many members of this forum.
I never saw those movies.

I don't know about the movies, but Stevie loved the Twilight books and said so many times. I don't think she should be persecuted for it though. I've read all the books myself. They are not great writing, but are rather addictive.

It's a huge love story… I was just saying to the last [journalist], it's like Wuthering Heights, it's that kind of story… it's like Jane Eyre… it's a totally timeless kind of story that we can relate to."

i think the fact that stevie is a twilight fan and thinks the bella/edward thing is super romantic says a lot about her relationship issues lol

Yes, I remember that too but now it somehow makes more sense; she initially thought the movie (which my friends at the time tricked me to watch so I know it was bad even if not as much as the books) was boring until she caught something in it that could be related to her experience so she started seeing it with rose-colored glasses, and on top of it, it's been somehow a catalyst for her career/songwriting to start flowing again, so her overestimation intensified.

I take anything she says about anything or anyone in popular culture at any given moment in time with a large grain of salt. Sometimes it feels like she tries too hard to convey that she's hip with whatever's hot. And she always goes over the top in her gushing... so and so is just "the next Stevie and Lindsey" or "destined to be a star" and blah blah blah and then they fade away..... it's kinda lame really. I mean if she just said "oh I really like so and so's work" or "I find their voice/song/book intriguing" that's cool. But she has to stretch it to "the best" "the most exciting thing I'd ever heard/read/seen" etc etc.....

It isn't important at all but I am just curious if you know if she read these books before or after she saw the movie(s)?
And didn't she say once that she rented out an entire movie theater on the road one time for her and her band to see the next version of that franchise? If my memory serves me right, this also happened in Australia.

Another thing I found interesting. After performing Gypsy she gave that familiar speech about buying an outfit at the same store where Janis Joplin and Grace Slick bought their clothes but in this story she said it was in San Diego, not SF.
