Is there a difference these "Sisters of the Moon" versions?
Hey so this had been bothering me since I learned that there was gonna be those remixes on the 2015 Tusk reissue. So my question is, are the so-called "single version" of "Sisters of the Moon" (which is found on the 2004 Tusk reissue) and and the remix version (found on the 2015 reissue) the same thing? Or are they different mixes entirely? My ears aren't good at spotting differences on these kinda things.
So anybody know? |
Isn't the remix shorter? There's instrumental differences and a couple vocal differences I think. I've always preferred the remix

It's the same. To be very specific (so you'll know if I'm understanding), the remix version that is on disc 2 of the 2004 release is the same as the remix version that is on disc 3 (not the "Alternate Tusk" but the other one) of the 2015 release. This is also the same remix that was originally on the vinyl, radio-only remix release when the Tusk album came out. I have a copy around here somewhere. I think it's just called "Tusk Remixes", but I really don't remember.
And I think the early version that is on the second disc of the 2004 release is the same version as the one that's on the "Alternate Tusk" disc of the 2015 release. If not the same, then they're very similar. |
