Im sure your all aware of the Meldrum Tapes on you Tube interviewing Stevie, unfortunately he fell from a ladder while putting up Christmas decorations at his home in Melbourne a couple of days ago, he has broken ribs, pierced lung , worst of all blood clot in the brain & is still in a coma. Im not sure how to post these great interviews from You Tube, he is a Music Icon here in OZ & i hope he pulls through..

Oh no, that's terrible :( I hope he recovers quickly and full. I'll be keeping him in my prayers.

That sucks. I hope he gets better soon. That interview ranks as my favorite one EVER! I've been quoting a Stevie line from that interview EVERYDAY SINCE 1999 to myself. It's like a drug that I can't seem to shake myself from. What to do, what to do.

Oh my god.I hope he gets better soon.Between Molly aand Jim Ladd.they are the best interviewers to interview Stevie.Pray for his recovery.

yea, thats always been my favotite stevie interview ever.

When I watch that, I see love--or very pronounced lust--in Stevie's whole demeanor.

I think she totally fell for him.

Sadly that would be wasted on Molly :lol:

Love, love, love this interview! Stevie seems so incredibly vulnerable and honest. This was around the time she hit rock bottom with the drugs and drink. It's very noticeable.

I have always wondered when this was recorded? I can't seem to place it...before or after RAL? I'm leaning toward when she was there wrapping up the RAL tour...The flipside would be when she was there with Petty and Dylan, although that would be kind of odd that she just happened to get an interview when she pretty much just showed up at their shows.

Good News!!! Molly Meldrum's condition has improved over night, and has been downgraded from critical to stable.

Thanks for the update.Thats great news that he's getting better.We just keep praying for his recovery.No problem on post his interview with Stevie.Oh I love her big hair.

I definatly think Stevie was interviewed at Molly's house at around that time, when Dylan & Petty were touring & playing in Melbourne, at Sidney Myer Music bowl, i was actually there, & remember watching crazy Stevie up on stage:D. Anyway Molly frequently entertained touring artists at his home in Melb in the 70's & 80's, huge alcohol & drug fuelled parties which sometimes even made the headlines.;) So i have no doubt Stevie party-ed at Molly's house & then interviewed there over her short stay in OZ..
