As fate would have it, I'll actually be in Cleveland for a business meeting and home show that weekend. I was planning on going to the R&R Hall Of Fame because I've never been. This Stevie event sounds interesting!

You should do both! I certainly would if I were in town.

Had a good time last night. Hopefully they'll make this a yearly event.
My partner snagged me a poster off the door

Can anybody who might have went give some details? What songs did they play, for example?

SuiteShangriLa 11-22-2016 08:46 PM

They played Stevie and Fleetwood Macs hit music and videos all night. We got there around 830 and they were playing Stevie/Mac non stop til atleast 1 am when we left. The show host Judyth Vonspringer did a lip sync melody of Stevie songs. There was a best Stevie dressed contest. They also did trivia for drink tickets. It was a fun night.

Sounds like fun! I would love to see pictures if they are SFW haha.

I only have a few pictures. They did have someone there taking pictures of everything all night but I haven't seen them posted anywhere yet.

I had a great time, and it was well-attended!

I think my favorite part was toward the end of the night - they had a lip sync contest to the '81 live version of "Edge of Seventeen" where anyone who wanted or was dressed like Stevie could get up onstage and perform. That was the part that reminded me most of the spirit of the original 1,000 Stevies in NYC - crazy, wild-hearted, weird.

The song that brought the most people onto the dance floor? No, not "Stand Back" or even "I Can't Wait," but "Gypsy"! That made me happy. :)

So happy this happened in my hometown. Hope they do it annually.
