Lately, I decided to expand my Fleetwood Mac experience beyond the albums including Lindsey Buckingham, and I had no idea until this very hour that Fleetwood Mac did "Save Me". I mean, I heard this song all the time on the radio. At the time, I didn't have any real interest in Fleetwood Mac, so I wouldn't have paid any attention to the artist of the song. Since I became interested in Fleetwood Mac, I haven't heard it on the radio, but really...

It's like how Billy Joel has done all these familiar and popular songs, but until I got his Best Of albums, I had no idea they were by him.

It's a strong argument for getting to know your subject matter.
