Too Much Is Not Enough

Hi,

Would anyone happen to have this Christine song? From what I can gather, it is an outtake from the 1984 "Christine McVie" album (which I guess the studio version has never surfaced) but she did perform it live a few times on the solo tour that year. Also, it was possibly on her solo laserdisc back then too, but not on the VHS tape. If anyone has it, could you please post, or if I anyone has any other information on it, could you please let me know.

Thanks!

It is on the Laserdisc, but I didn't know it until today. Someone has one for sell on eBay and had a tracklist. I have never heard the song. I hope someone else has an mp3!

The version that's on the laserdisc is an instrumental version of the song. Here are two live versions that I have:

Thanks Street_Dreamer, this was cool. I'd never heard this before.

Her vocal on the verses is really seductive. I don't think she can handle the high notes on the bridges, but with a little re-arrangement this could have been a great opening track for the album.

Interesting that the band chose to end the set with an outtake that was entirely unfamiliar to the audience. But it has the right rock-n-roll groove to leave everyone excited.

They also play this tune during her MTV documentary in 1984.

Thanks for posting the song. It's one of those songs that I almost forgot. I wonder there is a studio version. Was it written by Christine alone, or perhaps a collaboration with another band member?

An absolute rarity of Christine's, since she has so few of them.

'I Can't Help Falling in Love' and 'Roll With Me Henry' are two of my favorites.

I would think somewhere in the archives there is an actual recorded studio version. Like I said, they featured the music without the lyrics on the laserdisc so one would imagine that they had vocals laid down too.

Matt

I do have a bootleg show where they perform the song with vocals.

I hope one day the studio outtake version shows up, that would be cool to have. If I ever find it, I will be sure to post it here for everybody.
