2012 tour dates - west coast, may 2012

we don't have all dates so far posted anywhere (the solo/solo thread is more of a discussion than informational thread). i thought it would be nice to have a separate place for just the dates we know so far.

plus Mr. Buckingham seems to be insistent on keeping the mere existence of this tour completely under wraps. guess he doesn't want anybody who might want to see him to actually find out he's touring!

dates we know so far (from http://nickslive.blogspot.com/p/tour-dates-2011.html):

For real! I really hope he's not going to shortchange the East coast. I would like the opportunity to see this solo/all acoustic show, but I don't hold much hope for it lasting long enough for that to happen.

Who's going to the Sacramento or Redding shows? I'm looking to do a meet-up, that would be fun!

Not to mention the rest of us in fly over country.

I know! I am dying for some midwest dates! It is killing me waiting for more dates to be announced. I would love to see Lindsey solo but I can't afford a trip to the west coast so I'll just have to try and wait patiently and hope he doesn't forget about us!

D.W-Suite 03-18-2012 10:32 AM

Thanks for cancelling your European tour because your guitarist got hurt and you were unable to reschedule for all of 2012. (I had gotten over the bitterness until this tour was announced.)

bucklind17 03-18-2012 10:46 AM

There's a real concentration to the dates here. I can see the mindset of playing a few weeks of dates not far from home but I'm curious how well attended they will be.

Lindsey should tell the venues to spread the word that Stevie might be there. People will be spilling out the door and down the block. Of course it won't be true but when you're dealing with Lindsey and Stevie you're dealing with a rumour.

 riiiiight........ think about SN fans crying how bad it is to be at H&S shows where majority of people came to see Rod and couldn't care less about Stevie, walking in and out and talking through her set... somewhat how many LB fans would feel about this kind of proposition.:lol::xoxo:

while Stevie may not mind RS-attached cash grab while hoping that few more people would hear her songs in the process, i get the feeling Lindsey strongly dislikes people not being there to hear him.

EDIT: to be fair, i suspect he uses [or used to, at least] FM mostly for the cash grab purposes.:p

Yeah -- I love to see Lindsey but not sure I could handle that deception very well if I forked over the money to fly across the coast and then face the letdown...

Which must be why he wanted to keep it on the downlow.

I know you might think this is easy for me to say now, because I am going out to California again and feeling excited - but I am still devastated about the cancelled tour and have by no means got over it.

But I do trust Neale to keep his promise of making it up to us as soon as possible - I do believe we will see the band over here in the not too distant future. I'm holding on to that belief with all my might!

That belief will probably keep the lock on my wallet for this solotour.... I'm not amused over trhis either, although I get excited by the thought he will do an all acoustic show....

Nico 03-18-2012 06:20 PM

I truly believe LB will honor the European fans and head over there. He better- or else I'll have to make an angrier sig pic for Viv. ;)

Ugh, I am SOOOOO excited about this tour. I don't know if I can make any of these west coast dates, but you never know...

Where are they located?

Just scored from row center for the Fresno show!!:blob2:

i'm going back and forth on whether to go to CA and get together with Viv and Della for a few dates. the fact that even Hejira considered going makes me feel almost like a lindsey-traitor if i don't go lol.

i wish we could see some east coast dates, whether for june or fall, and if not before fall, whether those dates would be acoustic solo or with the band.

I was thinking of going on a CA holiday anyway (airfares are cheap!). But I'm dealing with some real estate drama at the moment that may still be dragging on in May. :distress: Also, I frickin' love the Wiltern! Such wonderful memories from last year's Stevie show.

vivfox 03-21-2012 09:56 PM

The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Foundation presents Lindsey Buckingham in the Fred Kavli Theatre at 8:00 pm on Sunday, May 6, 2012.

Fleetwood Mac front man and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham brings his solo acoustic performance in his debut at the Civic Arts Plaza. Buckingham has accomplished almost everything that can be done in rock ‘n’ roll, earning a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Fleetwood Mac, winning countless awards, selling out venues around the world, and helping define the sound of rock for the last three decades. He’s the predominant musical force behind such legendary Fleetwood Mac albums asRumours and the innovative Tusk, and has created a critically acclaimed body of solo work that yielded the hits “Trouble,” “Go Insane,” and “Holiday Road.”

After 30 years signed to Warner Brothers, Buckingham is now an indie artist, releasing a new album on his own called “Seeds We Sow.” The singer/songwriter, Grammy® winner and producer sees his sixth solo effort as his best work yet. Contentment and peace in his life are evident throughout the album. From the soft melodic pop/rock tinge of “End of Time” and its most rocking track, “One Take,” to the touching “When She Comes Down” and the almost lullaby-esque hushed tones of the gorgeous closing number, “She Smiles Sweetly,” the album showcases Buckingham’s full arsenal of skills.

Tickets are $36-61 and on sale Friday, March 23, 2012 at 12:00 noon. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster (800-745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com) or the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Box Office, located at 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard. For information call 805-449-ARTS (2787) or visit www.civicartsplaza.com.

Tour..

After the acoustic set last year I am sure I would enjoy Lindsey. But I saw the opening night of Springsteens Acoustic Tour, Devils and Dust I think a few years back and it was too overwhelming to be enitrely quiet the entire concert. He asked for no clapping or response. It was in Detroit at the Fox. I guess I just prefer the rock side. Have a good night everyone. Enjoy spring.

LindseyBuckingham.com is reporting that
Michael Richards is going to open up for
Lindsey (at least at the California gigs).
I should fly out for that.

^I'm sure the audience will hardly be able to tell the two of them apart.

hmm, would "this spring for a US tour" mean that he'll do more than just west coast in the spring? or what is meant by "US tour" is CA and WA? :D

I really hope this means more dates! I would love to come to CA and follow him around for two weeks if I had the money but unfortunately I don't. Instead I will sit here as patiently as possible and hope for more dates to be added near me! So jealous of all of you Californians!

Spoiler Alert!!!
I wouldn't be surprised if the two
of them traded places at a few of
the events. Kind of like The Prestige.
