Album rename: Tango In The Night
Assume that there was a band policy not to use track titles in album titles, and that to stay on brand they only used one-word titles like Rumours and Mirage.
I asked our good friends over at ChatGPT to come up with some ideas for alternative album titles for Tango In The Night . Would you vote for any of these? Or do you have some better titles? |

I like MYSTIQUE -- it fits well with Mystified as well.
Also WHISPERS, as there is a lot of lovely soft backing vocals by Lindsey and Christine on the album. |
Is a word to put with the rest of the title? I mean, Serenade In The Night, or Whisper In The Night?
Whisper In The Night is an Electric Light Orchestra song, so would be interesting a legal battle between Lindsey and Jeff Lynne  Hmmm I go with Surrender In The Night, or just Surrender. Not a very original one, but I can't imagine another name! Hehe |
I wanted to choose not based in the words I liked, the most but related with the mood or situation of the band that year. Kind of John’s idea of naming the album Rumours. But I think none of the alternatives shows a word that reflect the complicated (to say the least) state of mind of the members on those days.
"Nightmare" or "Turmoil" could be the title. Rumours was a nightmare too, but at least they all wanted to record the album. Tango didn’t have the best (art, musical) motivation. I like the word “Mystique” but I would title the Tusk album with that word instead. |
We are using 1 word, correct?

I love the title Tango in the Night, so one word I would call it…….
TANGO |
Tango is good.
Also Phantom Forbidden Night Fury Lies Or an album named after all five members: Muffy, Huffy, Stuffy, Toughy, and Buffy |
They could have beaten GnR to the punch and gone with Lies.
Otherwise (I know it’s a track title) Mystified would have fitted with the previous titles. Though I do like Tango in the Night |
