Christine's "Beautiful Child / Storms"

So in the last tours we fortunately could see Stevie singing a song never played live before, like Beautiful Child; so luckily we could appreciate Christine including an old jewel, never or rarely played live.

What song would you like her to include?

My choices:

Mystified
Warm ways (was this ever played live?)
Wish you were here

Danigirl 03-31-2014 11:12 PM

Definitely "Why" second would be Warm Ways

Yes to Why!

SteveMacD 03-31-2014 11:28 PM

They've done "Why."

Never Forget

Warm Ways was played live in '75 or '76, no?

I would love to hear Believe Me, but would pinch myself if they played it, it's un-bloody-likely that it would happen.

From the post-1975 back catalogue;
As Long as You Follow
Behind the Mask
Love in Store
Mystified
Never Make me Cry
Save Me
Skies the Limit
You and I, parts 1 & 2

Uhh, no, I was saying they should do "Never Forget."

Would love to hear Brown Eyes and Never Forget.
(I know they've done Brown Eyes, but it was so great it deserves to be brought back).

michelej1 04-01-2014 01:17 AM

If she does one of her Tusk songs, I'd want it to be either Honey Hi, Never Forget or, my favorite, Think About Me.

Michele

goldenground 04-01-2014 01:46 AM

I'd love for them to do Honey Hi or As Long As You Follow

I think there's zero chance of them playing post-tango, pre-Dance songs.

pattyfan 04-01-2014 03:04 AM

Mine would be...

1. Why (yes, they have done it, but so many years ago)
2. Over and Over (only on a small part of the Tusk tour)
3. One More Night
4. Honey Hi (actually anything from Tusk would be great :) )
5. Hold Me / Love in Store (only done on the Mirage tour, right?)

I think that we will get at least one unexpected Christine song. I love Oh Daddy but I really hope that they replace that with one of these. :)

Oh, and can I add
6. Heart of Stone
7. As Long as You Follow

Kevin

paleshadow 04-01-2014 04:46 AM

I've always liked "Come a Little Bit Closer".

WayOfTheDragon 04-01-2014 05:01 AM

Never Make Me Cry
Honey Hi
Never Forget
Mystified
Skies The Limit
Prove Your Love
Come A Little Closer
Do You Know

Love all of those songs, but I doubt we'll see any of them.

Warm Ways
Think About Me
Brown Eyes
Honey Hi
Never Forget
Little Lies
Mystified
Behind The Mask
As Long As You Follow
Heart Of Stone

Love those too. We might see LL.

Jessica 04-01-2014 09:00 AM

Hold Me. The end.

Please not Mystified. That song sucks.

On Ice 04-01-2014 09:10 AM

I'll start out by saying that I'm thrilled to hear Christine coming back but I highly doubt that we will be treated to any "real" deep cut golden nuggets like Why, Prove Your Love, Believe Me or Spare Me a Little, but could very well see Brown Eyes. We will in all likelihood, get her Rumours standards, Say You Love Me and perhaps Everywhere or Little Lies, but not expecting anything too earth shattering as the Mac of today is geared towards the Rumours loving masses. The addition of Beautiful Child/Storms/Sisters was hardly a new direction as they still insist on playing the bulk of Rumours while inexplicably ignoring the wonderful, bouncing and well written I Don't Want to Know. As good as Rumours is, I find this a tragic neglect of the vast wonderful catalogue that the band has. Please, please drop Stand Back (doesn't belong anywhere near a Mac show) and Big Love. Still on the fence whether I will take the bait on the tour or not, may wait to see the set list before committing. :sorry:

Danigirl 04-01-2014 09:18 AM

Retraction...
1. Why
2. Only Over You
3. Honey Hi
4. Warm Ways

My ultimate wish was for Chris to return to the band. The icing on the cake would be Why.... One out of two is suffice, but "Why" is one of Chris' masterpieces, in my humble opinion.

Couldn't agree more. What would be absolutely fabulous would be for them to each choose pieces they personally love and enjoy performing. Real honest downright favorites, not influenced by marketing at all. It would be so cool to see them jamming and maybe witness the essence of the artist in them as opposed to the performer they undoubtedly have to draw out when on tour.

Personally, I could stand them not performing "Rhiannon," GYOW, and all the "classics" just to witness that essence.

HelloMonster 04-01-2014 09:57 AM

Brown Eyes, Over and Over and/or Never Forget, and Isn't It Midnight!

I'm sure part of what goes into their enjoyment of playing songs is the reaction from the audience and I'm sure they get a kick out of the reaction they get from playing their big hits.

GypsySorcerer 04-01-2014 10:26 AM

Think About Me (!!!!)
Over & Over
As Long as You Follow

Surely, they have a relationship of reciprocity with their audience. I would love for them to be utterly selfish! Would love it. ;)

Richard B 04-01-2014 11:30 AM

Isn't It Midnight - Yes, done before...really great live song
Think About Me
Hollywood (Some Other Kind Of Town)
Sugar Daddy
Only Over You

bobwelchera 04-01-2014 12:15 PM

Definitely "Why"!

I would love to see "Spare Me A Little of Your Love" as well. I plan to create a new setlist idea soon.

Yes, but that's not fair since they play solo songs!!

I think Never Make Me Cry is an amazingly beautiful song. I'd be thrilled. Love the very melodic solo in the middle.

I love it too. The demo is even more beautiful and raw.

Great choice!!

WatchChain 04-01-2014 08:35 PM

If you're looking for a never performed live Christine McVie song, After "Big Love" and "Landslide", continue the ACOUSTIC SET by bringing the drum kit to the front (with all five members in the round) and have the band launch into "Honey Hi" with that beautiful three part vocal harmony from Chris, Stevie and Lindsey.

SONGS NOT PERFORMED IN YEARS THAT NEED A RETURN

Hold Me
Why
Little Lies
Over My Head

I agree with the last 3. Hold Me is a good song, but I'm not sure they can do it justice.

san-l-bar 04-01-2014 09:50 PM

My choices are :
Wish You Were Here
Never Forget
Think About Me (I've heard it was in Tusk setlists but I've never heard it)
Heroes are Hard to Find ( I know I've heard her do it in concert but I can't remember if it was with Fleetwood Mac or on her solo tour, but I love it!)

I think, "Wish You Were Here" would be fantastic.

BombaySapphire3 04-01-2014 10:26 PM

Mine would be "Love Will Show us How" featuring four "Love" dancers chosen for their sexuality and dancing ability and for the finale of the song a spaceship will land on Christine's piano.:blob2:
