Wha'??????
A gatefold for Bare Trees, but not Kiln House?

That doesn't seem right. Bare Trees DIDN'T originally have a gatefold & Kiln House DID. I think somebody got that backwards.

Possibly - the info came from another forum. The person knew about the releases before they had even been announced, so it's possible that there have been changes. I've been trying to fuind info on Rhino, but the site has been broken for me.

According to the 2nd link the bonus single is Oh Well. That would be kind of stupid since it's going to be on the TPO remaster. By process of elimination it's gotta be Dragonfly/Purple Dancer.

I'm with Chilli too, I think they got those mixed around. KH WILL be gatefold, BT will NOT.

Fleetwood Mac are most commonly remembered for their classic mid-late '70s period, when Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks were in the band and they recorded classic albums like Rumors (1977) and Tusk (1979). Next, however, the band's early period will be explored with a reissue and a vinyl box set, which will arrive on August 20 via Rhino.

The box set is called Fleetwood Mac: 1969-1972, and it includes four albums from the years indicated in the title. These are the band's first four records for Reprise: Then Play On (1969), Kiln House (1970), Future Games (1971) and Bare Trees (1972). These have been pressed on 140-gram vinyl and come in their own reproductions of the original sleeves.

The set documents the band's transition from the blues of their early work to the folk and pop sounds that characterized their most popular period. It comes with a bonus 7-inch: a replica of the 1969 single for "Oh Well - Pt. 1" and "Oh Well - Pt. 2." The albums themselves don't include any extra material.

Quoted from the Then Play On thread.

sez...

"The records look as good as they sound thanks to authentically reproduced packages, including gatefolds for Then Play On and Kiln House and single sleeves for Future Games and Bare Trees."

But I agree there are two essential singles missing besides Oh Well keeping the set from perfection. I'll have to pass but looks like it will be extremely nice box along the lines of recent Sundazed 18ogm Velvet Underground LP box.

It looks like they'll be using the framed Bare Trees. I wonder if they'll use the picture sleeve on the Oh Well single...

With a pre-recorded stereo backing track! I love the rhythm part Green plays under the solo.

It's the ordinary official studio version in stereo with Peter singing a live vocal over it apparently.
