Songs with the best trio harmonies
Songs where you can clearly hear all three of them on the harmonies:
Gold Dust Woman Dreams That's Alright Crystal If You Were My Love Did I miss any? Oddly enough, it seems that the songs with the best three part harmonies are Stevie songs. |
Farmer's Daughter and Honey Hi stand out in my mind.

The Chain
Say You Love Me |

You can't hear Christine that much on the album version of The Chain, I like it live much better. Say You Love Me is really good too, but Christine's voice is more prominent than Stevie and Lindsey's on the chorus. |
Studio:
LOVE IN STORE Its almost like the Mac are a doo wop band. Live: Over and Over live is great |
Mine would be.......
Say You Love Me
The Chain Honey Hi Beautiful Child The Famers Daughter Love in Store That's Alright Little Lies Seven Wonders Bleed To Love Her |
Think About Me
Little Lies As Long As You Follow Seven Wonders Love in Store |
I'll throw in Temporary One to the list if it counts, despite it being a "live" track it's got some really great harmonies.
However, one rules above all: The live version of WHY from the midnight special. None of the bands harmonies will ever top that. |

Dreams, Oh Daddy, Honey Hi, Brown Eyes, Beautiful Child,
Love In Store, The Chain, That's Alright. |
Say You Love Me
You Make Loving Fun Dreams The Chain (Christine's voice blends into the mix but without it the effect would be much different) Oh Daddy Honey Hi (possibly the best case, along with YMLF) Over and Over Brown Eyes Love in Store That's Alright Farmer's Daughter And then five really good live ones from The Dance Silver Springs Gold Dust Woman Temporary One Bleed to Love Her Sweet Girl |
The live Think About Me on YouTube!
|
The Chain (Live Tusk Deluxe) - My God do these three people connect. That intro is pristine.
Crystal (White Album) Dreams (Rumours) Wow just wow Farmer's Daughter Monday Morning Silver Springs (Dance) |
Why
The live version of "Why" that was on Midnight Special.

Thanks to whomever started this thread. I think many of us have been feeling disappointed lately about no new F Mac CD and maybe even the first two songs from Buckingham McVie, but this is a great reminder of all the wonderful music we have had from them. :)
I would add the live version of Blue Letter. One of my very favorites. Kevin |
