Have We Got New Green Blues For You Now?

I recently stumbled across this CD:
http://www.collectorsmusicreviews.co...er-record-898/

Anyone familiar with it?
To me, it sounds like one of the best FM w/PG bootlegs!

There are some obvious mistakes both in the review and the track source list on the CD itself.
One Sided Love (correct title?) is sung by Danny, not Peter - and the other way around for Tallahassie Lassie.
I´m especially curious about the sources for the last 3 tracks. Green Manalishi is clearly not from 1968, and Fool No More sounds like a studio recording.

A complete, correct source credit would be very welcome! :D

The first eight tracks are from the Netherland show listed, one that has been in circulation for some time now.

The “bonus tracks” are a strange mix: ‘Oh Well’ is from the BBC broadcast “Monster Music Mash” recorded on September 10, 1969 – the first recorded live performance of the number –

Like Crying’ is most likely from the same show

Rattlesnake Shake’ from Playboy After Dark – this abbreviated performance is strictly for completists

The three numbers from the New Year’s Eve French television broadcast (recorded November 27, 1968) perpetuates the error of listing ‘Please Find My Baby’ as ‘Dust My Broom

The final three are more problematic. Without hearing the tracks, they are impossible to identify –
However, ‘The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown)’ is obviously not from 1968 – the first available live recording is from November 21, 1969 at the Fillmore East – which of the eleven available versions it is....?

There are fourteen live versions of ‘Coming Your Way’ from 1970 alone currently in circulation – take your pick – and they still may have the date wrong!

A Fool No More’ aside from the version recorded for the BBC (released on “Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac Live at the BBC” and most likely the source from your description) - the only live version I know of is from the Middle Earth Club in London from February 15, 1968

Hope this helps

Great - thanks a lot!!

I did some comparing on the tracks with unsure sources, all are officially released:
*Albatross is simply the original studio version
*Green Manalishi is Live in Boston 1970-02, un-remastered and faded early
*Coming Your Way is from "Show-Biz Blues", Paris Theatre (I think), London, 1970-04-09
*Fool No More is from "Live at the BBC", 1967-11-07 (as you rightly thought)

Anyway, I really love the Amsterdam concert - superb Green playing and tone.
