I have the source tape, straight from Ms. Gross herself. I bought her a sushi dinner in Hollywood. Brian J. burned it all to a CD for me. I'll post it here. Can you give me a day or two?

This is the one where John calls Chris a cow, although I've been told the back & forth between the McVies during this interview was really a joke between the 2 of them.

I used to think this interview was done up in Sausalito, but it's at the Record Plant in Los Angeles, around November 1976.

Sorry about Laura Gross being such a drag. I mean, she's about as interesting as the wet side of paint. She was no more interesting in person than she is on her tape recorder. "What keeps the precious part precious?" is about the extent of her intelligence.

Those bastards are talking all at once frequently, too, it's hard to catch some things.
Thank you! I was on needles and pinsas waiting for the rest.
Laura Gross seems nice, she's a little dull, I didn't think too bad. She is pretty good asking them about the process of writing songs.

Thanks David, you´re a STAR!! I´ve just downloaded this interview and I really love the fact that they let John get a word in for once! :D He´s so funny, and that voice.. WOW, don´t know what to say really.. SOO SEXY, I swear it gives me goose bumps!;) !

Thanks for the interview, David. I listened to the first three parts. But I don't know that I can withstand the rest ! She is a dreadful interviewer and every band member comes off as dreary and boring. Were they all on ludes ? Are the other parts any more entertaining ? Chris is the only one engaged at all. Though it is a shock to hear John speak.

well, spark, I hate to tell you but the rest of it is quite dull & pointless, although chris plays an ex tempore blues turnaround in C on a piano at the end while somebody (John I think) records a program identification tag.

So, Laura asks Stevie about how she writes a song, after Chris has just expounded fairly well on the same subject. I'm like "oh, boy! Here it comes, she's going to talk!" And she goes "I couldn't possibly explain that right now. I could go on for hours about it" and then "It's very heavy for me. Songwriting is the most heaviest thing I do"
Yep. That's it. Most heaviest thing I do.
I think they said a few interesting things, but they were all talking at once so we didn't hear it.

These are great, thanks David!!!

Christine says there is "no fanatical kind of vibe" from the audience ... fast forward to the SYW tour ......

Lindsey says he tries to make everyone's songs "unique" .... I love it. That is totally what he does.

Lindsey said "sex!" Lindsey said "sex!"

The interviewer needs some more journalism classes .... dear God!
