I am definitely not a Stevie Nicks hater.
I've seen her 36 times in concert.
I simply didn't like her hair during the SA era.

Not to mention that 'bubble-do' she had in the 'Big Love' video. :eek:/QUOTE]
Oh, I'd forgotten about the bubble. LoL.
She also wore it in some MTV interviews to promote TINT.
I was so happy to see the bubble-do gone when the "Seven Wonders" video was released!
The bubble doo is my least favorite Stevie doo. Even for 1987 it seemed odd especially with bangs on the side. She also wore it for her Red Rocks close ups. But yes, the Big Love video was its peak performance ;)
I never saw this kind of doo on anyone except Stevie.

The “bubble-do/poodle” look was because Stevie was friends with Jose Eber around that time (1986/87). He was responsible for her hairstyles around that time. I don’t know much about him but I suspect he was a celebrity hairstylist. I like it anytime Stevie branches out of the norm. That hairstyle sure wasn’t common, but take into consideration that Stevie was/is a rock and roll queen, and at that time it probably seemed daring, edgy and trendsetting. Everyone had weird or bad hair back then anyway.

As far as her crimped look during 1994, I liked it. She should’ve put some sort of product in her hair so that it wasnt as puffy, but it seemed she got the hang of it and perfected the look during the Enchanted and Say You Will eras. And it looks a lot more funky and interesting than the boring straight hair that she’s been known for sporting for the past 10 years or so.

it was a riff on the Tina Turner fright wig. Pat Benatar tried it during a TV appearance where she did an awesome cover of "Seven Rooms of Gloom"

BTW, Eber is still around. He has salons in Beverly Hills and Vegas, I only know this because I'm friends with Pia Zadora and he's the only one she lets do her hair.

Isn’t the “bubble-do” a version of a mullet.....
You know the hair-do that should never, never ever make a re-appearance...
(On anyone not just Stevie )
