Glass half...

empty or full?

I just wanted to put this out there. So many great musicians have passed away recently, many of whom were a lot younger than our beloved Mac members. In the last 5 years or so, we have had...

1. a world tour with Christine back in the fold

2. a Stevie tour that, IMHO, was one of her strongest ever, which got extended

3. the promise of a new CD with Lindsey and Christine, plus probably a tour to promote that

4. a Stevie CD with lots of songs that had been widely circulated as demos which we all had so much fun speculating about and which also, IMHO, is one of her strongest

5. a reissue of Mirage, Bella Donna, and Wild Heart, with lots of cool stuff

6. a reissue of Tango on the Night on its way

7. a probable tour with all 5 again in a year or two

Of course I would have liked a newFleetwood Mac CD with Stevie, and a tour behind that CD. There were also things I could nit pick about with regards to her tour, and the reissues, and even 24 KG. But overall, we are really really lucky to be getting tours and CDs in fairy steady stream. So I'm just putting this out there to say that. :)

I agree with you, also there are some more little things:

8. A documentary about The Us Festival that will feature the both the full performance of Fleetwood Mac in 1982 and Stevie Nicks in 1983.

9. An upcoming documentary about Jimmy Iovine with unearthed footage of Stevie and a new interview.

10. A stage show centered around the life of our beloved Christine, titled Go Your Own Way (now it's set to tour Australia): http://www.stagenoise.com/review/201...hristine-mcvie

Any idea what this is going to cost us?

2017 is such a great year to be a FM fan.
I am seeing Stevie solo in concert March 2017
Buckingham/McVie album released by summer and I could possibly see them live if they tour
Its also possible the big final tour could begin late 2017.
Long story short in 2017 I could see Stevie, Christine, Lindsey solo plus a Fleetwood Mac concert.
Now who is excited ?

For those who pledge the price is that which they donated, but for the marker price we don't know yet and surely it won't be before its submission to Sundance. Maybe I'll try sending a message to Mr. Aveni later in the month, he was very available.

Yeah, and I think it's possible Stevie will do a sequel to 24K Gold and there may even be another reissue for Rock a Little.

Annoyed at it being called Go Your Own Way if it's about Christine. Songbird would've been a perfect title.

these are the only 2 that interest me in this whole mish-mash of activities, and i can't wait! :blob1:

of course #5 will be just one among a good number of dates - and i wish we would find them out already!!

happy that 2017 looks so promising. :woohoo: 2016 was a complete drought as far as FM as a band goes, although there were tours by Mick and i think Stevie's tour started in 2016 too. it's too bad Christine and Lindsey and the rest of the band waited so long to decide to stop waiting and finish the album, but then again i'm so happy their album and tour are ahead of us now (instead of some time back in 2016, although in that case they may have extended the tour to 2017, but hard to know)! :]:]

also, and i know this might be unpopular opinion, but i'm really happy with the outcome in front of us now - that we will end up seeing just Lindsey and Christine in small venues, instead of the whole band in big arenas. i think we will get larger variety of songs, at affordable prices (if the first show is something to judge by!), and of course at least 6 new songs live!

for people who do want to see the whole band, they unfortunately need to cough up some big bucks for crappy seats at one of the stadiums this summer, but at least they'll get to see the band they love and feel the whole stadium atmosphere! :woohoo:

so i'm definitely with half-full!

Just to avoid confusion, Ravinia isn't a festival, like Coachella, Lollapalooza, etc. It's a venue that's only open during the summer in the suburbs of Chicago. Stevie is playing two concerts there. There will be no other artists playing those dates, just her like normal concerts.

I thought this was the best place to celebrate this past year and the one that's about to come; feel free to add if I forgot something:

10) The Buckingham McVie Tour

11) A New version of Gypsy for the eponymous TV show

12) Stevie recording "Your Hand I will Never Let it Go" for The Book of Henry's soundtrack

13) Stevie's collaboration with Lana Del Rey "Beautiful People Beautiful Problems"

14) Mick's book about the early years of Fleetwood Mac "Love that burns"

15) Stephen Davis biography about Stevie "Gold Dust Woman"

16) Fleetwood Mac Deluxe Edition in January

17) Fleetwood Mac MusiCares person of the year in February

18) Lindsey's solo album in early 2018

19) Fleetwood Mac World Tour later in 2018
