Mystery To Me- Why is Bob Welch afraid of NYC?
 

Hi everyone in the pre-Rumours club. I bought Mystery To Me as my third installment in the pre-BN saga. I think it's just great. Christine is incredible. Even if Bob is scared of NYC, Just Crazy Love, Why, Emerald Eyes, and Hypnotized are among my favorites. I never EVER expected to like the pre-Rumours Mac as much as I do, and I'm now ready to spend a small fortune on it.

Mystery To Me is definitely the album that "SHOULDA/WOULDA/COULDA", but, thanks to the Bob Weston/Jenny Fleetwood affair, we'll never know.


Like Bob said in his first Q&A, New York City of 1973 isn't the same NYC of today.

Definately...look how those New Yorkers handled a blackout this time. In the 70's times were just different. But what do I know, I was born in '88:laugh: Thanks again for the pre-Rumours purchasing advice. I saw the Blue Horizons box set thing and but I didn't have enough to buy it. Soon I'm sure you'll be hearing fanatic reviews about that from me too.

Yeah ChiliD's right, "The complete Blue Horizon sessions" box set is a very good investment. I'm sure you'll like a lot of stuff on there but even if it takes you a while to warm to it, it's going to make collectiong pre Rumours stuff a WHOLE lot easier than it is by getting BH stuff any other way and even then, you'd still need to get the CBHS box since it has some tracks on there that aren't available elsewhee anyways and some fun finds like how the "Original FM" album's version of "Watch out" in the box is much longer than it was on the original version of the "Original FM" album. I still wonder why that little solo at the beginning of the track was cut down back then for the "Original FM" comp? Sounded OK to me. :)

Well, I could go on and on but I don't want to spoil any more surprizes for you. We're all looking forward to your thoughts on it whenever it is that you can afford to pick it up. Considering the amount of material you get for your 40 or so bucks, it's actually a good deal. :)
