AXS TV GIVES THANKS FOR GREAT MUSIC WITH A CORNUCOPIA OF CLASSICS FEATURING FLEETWOOD MAC SPECIALS AND THE BELOVED 1961 MUSICAL WEST SIDE STORY, ON NOVEMBER 23 STARTING AT 10aE

Highlights Include Interviews with Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks’ Rare 1986 Set at the Iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and More

Los Angeles, CA (October 17, 2017) – Celebrate Thanksgiving with AXS TV, the premier destination for classic rock programming, as the network serves up a cornucopia of Fleetwood Mac concerts, interviews, and more, on Thursday, November 23 starting at 10aE. The day-long event will also feature a special broadcast of the groundbreaking 1961 musical West Side Story, starring Natalie Wood and Richard Beymer, at 9pE.

The block kicks off at 10aE, with an insightful episode of The Big Interview with Dan Rather, as Lindsey Buckingham opens up about his passion for music, early collaborations with Stevie Nicks, and the chance encounter with Mick Fleetwood that changed their lives forever. Then, Fleetwood Mac’s dynamic duo reunites for an incredible 2012 concert in Lindsey Buckingham with Special Guest Stevie Nicks at 11aE, loaded with priceless stories and unforgettable performances of “Never Going Back Again,” “Say Goodbye,” and many more; followed by the 2014 profile series Rock Legends: Fleetwood Mac at 6:15pE, as top music critics take fans behind the scenes of the band’s unparalleled legacy using archive footage, iconic performances, and music videos for “Dreams” and “Landslide.”

The festivities continue at 12:40pE, as Stevie Nicks takes Chicago by storm with an intimate set blending Fleetwood Mac staples “Gold Dust Woman” and “Sara” with solo hits such as “Stand Back” and “Edge Of Seventeen” inSoundstage: Stevie Nicks. Next, Sammy Hagar cruises to Maui to sit down with Mick Fleetwood for a spirited conversation and jam session in Rock And Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar at 1:40pE; followed by an in-depth look at one of the band’s most influential works in Classic Albums: Fleetwood Mac – Rumours at 2:10pE; and a career-spanning 2003 concert packed with trademark tracks such as “Rhiannon,” “Gypsy,” “Go Your Own Way,” and many more in Fleetwood Mac, Live in Boston, at 3:10pE. The block closes at 5:15pE with Stevie Nicks’ rare 1986 performance at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Stevie Nicks: Rock A Little, featuring appearances by Mick Fleetwood and Peter Frampton. Encore broadcasts of Rock Legends and Live In Boston will follow at 6:15pE and 6:55pE, respectively.

Then, stay tuned for a very special presentation of the 1961 musical West Side Story, starring Golden Age superstar Natalie Wood and beloved leading man Richard Beymer as young lovers caught in the middle of a gang war between the rival Sharks and Jets in the tough streets of New York. The seminal favorite won 10 Oscars®—including Best Picture and Best Music—and boasts a timeless soundtrack featuring “Maria,” “America,” “I Feel Pretty,” and many more.
