Seef Interview

Thanks for starting the discussion. I love this candid interview, and look what she accomplished in the 20 years following! She got it together, and cemented her legacy being inducted into the Rock hall of fame solo. I know it's hard for us fans to comprehend the firing of Lindsey, but we have no idea what happened between them for it to come to this :( I will not take a side nor diminish her accomplishments because of that. I was so proud of her performance at the induction, she deserves it.

This is Stevie. This was her last hurrah. She reappeared in 1996/7 and hung around till about 2003. After that the botox kicked in and melted her brain and I think she started smoking again.

Actually she reappeared on the Street Angel tour in 1994. Her career may have been in the crapper and she needed to lose some weight but her vocals and performances on this tour were great. I agree with the rest of your assessment.

She was humble and appreciative of how lucky she was to be alive and the resurgence in her career. Then somewhere along the way she slid into a righteous biatch demanding her presidential suites and her 'legend' status. 2003 was SYW album...and 'you wouldn't say that to Bob Dylan'.I think that was the first time she'd done an album that wasn't a solo album since Tango, and boy she did NOT like it. She seemed to make it clear to FM from that point on that if they wanted her to stick around they were going to have to PAY. She was strictly pay to play baby.

the other lesson to take away from this interview was to not waste time. The Dance was 1997. Instead of getting back to being creative she wasted time on Enchanted and the Enchanted Tour. I loved that tour and she was great, but then it was a couple more years at least before TISL. There should have been another album out immediately after Enchanted. She looks so good here. About the same as she did in 1981-82. Thin, great voice, great hair, gracious and thankful. Now she is a an old curmudgeonly croan-goat betrayer. What happened?

:distress: I miss that Stevie

She talks about writing two songs then. Anyone know the other one besides EFO?

AnthonyMI 07-28-2019 01:59 PM

I am guessing she wrote EFO and the other song around same time as when LB affair was officially over and she started to realize he was no longer hers and he was having kids? So what other songs from TISL and SYW are bitter or jaded and descriptive of being shelved or perhaps suggestive of a love affair? Maybe Thrown Down? Thrown Down was demoed and recorded for TISL and scrapped.

Almost all of Lindsey’s solo album, Under the Skin.

Betrayer? Lindsey lost his hold on her. She grew up and decided to not take his crap anymore. Sometimes you dump someone because they don't give you a choice. Like being a A-1 asshat. :D
