If you could ask Mick Fleetwood ONE question, what would you ask?

And if he absolutely had to be honest:

Of all the musicians/singers that you have had in Fleetwood Mac, which ones do you wish were in the current band today?

I would say:

Why were you being a lil b*tch about "Silver Springs"?--P.S.--I love you Mick Fleetwood. For some reason, I am strongly attracted to you and your British accent and I'll be your baby momma....well, an additional baby momma.

I would ask him what the balls are for, where they originated and their meaning.
And how he decided on the drum beat for "Go Your Own Way" and why he doesn't use a lot of hi-hat on the Tusk album.

I bet Stevie was all about the accent. She just closed her eyes and thought about Cary Grant.

For some reason, Stevie and Mick together is very pleasant to me. He seems like the type that would be very romantic in bed, which is something that most men have lost these days. He seems very gentle. I love me some Mick.

Read his book-- he talks about the balls there. I will find the passage tomorrow if you'd like. It basically stemmed from the band's extreme vulgarity on stage in the Peter Green days. He recieved the wooden balls as a gift (Jenny Boyd, maybe?) and they are the same pair he wears today.

Well, I've met Mick and I asked him a lot of questions on that night. This will take some thinking!

The thought of Stevie and Mick scares me. But you make a good point about the romance based on the gallant way he acts on stage. He sometimes has courtly, loving gestures and I wouldn't be surprised if he does bring a certain flourish to romance.

If he really is a drumming Santa Clause like my aunt keeps trying to convince me.

Dodfather 08-19-2009 05:55 AM

I'd ask him: 'Mick: how many balls do you have?'

Wasen't one of the stories about the wooden balls... was that when he lived in England a long time ago, he lived several stories high in this building... and he would tie his wooden balls to his door key and throw the keys and balls out the window... to let people in the building so he would not have to run down the stairs to let them in the building??? I heard something to that effect years ago about the wooden balls...

Sounds fairly dangerous for unalert passersby.

what was your first drum set like?
at what point in your life did you say "ah, I can never go back to a regular job now"?
why are your toms set up backwards?
will you give me lessons? (to which he'd reply.."you have much to learn, grasshopper")

The Chain 08-20-2009 02:20 PM
