Please help the clueless...

Where did this song come from? Is it on any album? Is it Lindsey's song? (Did he write it?)

Somebody posted it (dana6x?) on the Lindsey's demo bin.

It's on Mick Fleetwood's Zoo-album I'm not me 1983. Lindsey cowrote it with what'shisname. Well I'm too lazy to look it up..

Too bad Lindsey didn't save it for himself for the Mirage album...it's a better song than most of his contributions to that album (except for "Eyes Of The World" & "Empire State")

It almost sounds like it could've fit on either Tusk or Law & Order, too.

It was a single from the album, released in 1983. I think "Angel Come Home," with Christine and Billy Burnette was also a single. I really like both songs...very Fleetwood Mac-ish. Christine plays and sings on a couple of songs. The title track "I'm Not Me" is good too. Then there is some cheesy generic stuff, most of which is courtesy of George Hawkins and Steve Ross; Mick's band buddies who contributed songs, instruments and vocals. I'm not a big fan of them. Still, too bad the album has never been released on CD. I bought the album when it came out, and also have a cassette version.

I don't agree with your "cheesy" description (but, to each their own), I think it's one great album through & through. Love the cover of Annie McLoone's "Tonight" (which used to be one of the featured tunes in Walter Egan's concert set when Annie was singing with Walter); and the old Lloyd Price hit "Just Because". "You Might Need Somebody" sounds like it could've been a Christine McVie song.

I like how Lindsey or Christine (but, my bet is on the former) pinched the sax riff from "State Of The Art" to use as the main riff for "Little Lies".

It is rather good... but I hardly ever give it a spin! I may have to pull it out this weekend.

Yeah, I actually think it's one of Mick's better, most accessible solo albums. Strange how it's the only solo album --of all Fleetwood Mac members -- that hasn't been released on CD (the exception being Christine McVie's solo album prior to joining Fleetwood Mac).

Mick, George & Billy put on monkey suits & played Tonight & Angel Come Home on Rock Palace.

The fact that it was released in Japan again makes me wonder why they don't tour there. They obviously still have Japanese fans. I do keep watching Amazon to see if the price will ever get within a reasonable range for the import.
