The word is Kitty, which was the name of a character on the TV western series "Gunsmoke."

In the late 1980's I had a cat named Kitty. She was a white persian and she hated all people. One morning after having her for several years, I woke up and there she was sleeping on my bed. I looked at her in shock. She felt the jolt of the mattress and looked toward me. Then I just lied back down and went back to sleep. She slept there every night for the rest of her life. Eventually her shedding built a nest. She was so prissy, so everyone pronounced her name as "Kit--tayy.":laugh:
