Albatross again again...

There seems to be different takes of this song. The studio version of Albatross from 1969 are faster than this Youtube clip. It is a prerecorded soundtrack, but where from?

I am looking for the slowest version. Can anyone here help me?

Thanks!

Hi MsMoose!
I'm pretty sure this is the "standard" studio version which was released on the single. My guess is that the transfer or "time" has resulted in an altered speed.

Yes, I agree with Daniel. The speed of the video soundtrack is off!

Do you mean that the speed of the video soundtrack is slower than the "original" recording?

Unfortunately I have not got the original vinyl single. On Youtube there is a version which is supposedly from the original recording, but it is a very fast version (too fast). The version on The Best of Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac actually comes very close to the video (I have just dicovered this very minute)....Oh my gawd ...I think it is it!:]

I like the slower version. Where is the Colors version of Albatross to be found, Wouter? In the eighties some of PG's playing were sometimes almost comatose :D

Thanks for the combined scandinavian and netherlands efforts to help me.

Ms Moose
