New Book on Tusk!

I was just surfing the web a little while ago in search on Fleetwood Mac books and I came across something new...

"Fleetwood Mac's Tusk" by Rob Trucks to be released March 2010. Sounds like a very interesting book and I can't wait for it to be released. I'm sure I'll be buying it.

I assume this is one of the 33 1/3 series.

Edit: yes, I see it is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/33%E2%85%93
Cool, these are a good series of books and they have some interesting titles coming up.

That is awesome news. And it'll be an interesting read too, not a gossippy crapbook, but a real "documentary". This is a very good serie of books and you can tell that just by reading the already released list of featured albums.

And it's just great that it's about Tusk and not about Rumours.

Have you ever read the Cath Carroll book about the making of Rumours, Gerald?
I think you'd like it.

No, I didn't. Is that a good one? I only read one good book related to FM: That great but incomplete story of peter green.

Yeah, it's really good, definitely worth a read and more intelligent and better written that the majority of Mac books. It's more about the music scene and the reasons why Rumours was able to become such a huge hit rather than the drama within the group (although of course that is documented). It's pretty fascinating, especially since most of the factors that made it a hit are pretty much missing in music today.
I would totally recommend it if you want a non-gossipy, factually based book. The fact that Carroll actually interviewed people for the book rather than fill it with quotes from magazine articles counts a lot too, I think.

Just put in a lot of new photos & I'll be pleased.

I just read that Carol Harris book, but no one wants to talk about it with me!

This sounds interesting, but I hope it's more than just an open-ended conversation with Lindsey. I would hope that he got some input from Mick, John, Christine and Stevie as well... but then again, it's only 144 pages. It would be most interesting if it contained lists of all the songs that were tried but were later trashed or never moved beyond the demo stage...
