I'm really loving Sia right now.
Watched her on Karaoke Carpool and she seems like such a lovely person. Beautiful voice. Great songwriter. A talented lady.

Cyndi has a new cd of pop music from the past before music was segregated , compartmentalized and 'Branded "

iamnotafraid 05-12-2016 03:07 AM

I'm recording Stevie Nicks Live At The Whiskey from the
Timespace Tour. Of course with the pre-interview.

The transferring of these VHS tapes to DVD is killing me.
60 down and more than that to go.

p.s. I forgot she sang Talk To Me live that night. Cool.

Macfanforever 05-30-2016 08:08 PM

I missed music like this.Kim Wilde "You Keep Me Hangin' On" Her version is the best also looks HOT too. The Supremes version was OK and Vanilla Fudge's version was strange.

Great 1980's music .

Did Stevie or the Mac sing a part of this tune .I forgot where I heard it from.I would love to see Stevie cover this tune.

Macfanforever 05-31-2016 12:44 AM

More 1980's great tunes.

~*BellaDonna*~ 05-31-2016 07:58 PM

Crickets. No, seriously.

I've recently been on a Meatloaf binge. All my life until he'd passed me by- always thought his music was cheesy crap. Well, it is kind of cheesy but it really isn't crap.

SisterNightroad 08-23-2016 03:58 PM

I just noticed that I'm listening to this on repeat during the first day of my period: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6Be...c&spfreload=10

KarmaContestant 08-24-2016 03:31 PM

Since the 16th: lots of Madonna (it was her birthday).

Before that, lots of Mirage and Tango in the Night.

Soon, Regina Spektor's new album, which I've already preordered on vinyl.

~*BellaDonna*~ 10-09-2016 08:26 PM

I currently have my 'Lennon Legend: The Very Best of John Lennon' CD playing, as today he would have celebrated his 76th Birthday. Hard to believe it has been almost 36 years since he was murdered.

Well we all shine on
Like the moon and the stars and the sun
Well we all shine on
Ev'ryone come on

thanks for the reminder. Now on a Lennon binge.

Been on an 80's binge today...

'The Riddle' by Nik Kershaw

...I wonder whether he ever found what he was looking for in the hole by the river near the tree.

SisterNightroad 05-08-2018 03:43 PM

Can't take it out of my head:

StevieandChris 05-08-2018 06:54 PM

I have been listening to Dolly Parton's Real Love album lately. One of my favorites.

OMG! The Blob - what a cheese-fest. Here's another that always comes to mind from the War of the Gargantuas, where the singer gets gobbled up by the giant monster right after finishing this song. It was later was covered by DEVO and showed up in a Scooby Doo cartoon.

And I always make a point to listen to this "classic" on Earth Day:

chriskisn 05-12-2018 03:25 AM

New supergroup LSD... can never get enough of Sia anyway, but this song is stuck in my head.

sasja 05-25-2018 08:55 PM

Lumineers!!

"Darlene", and "Elouise"

sasja 05-25-2018 10:30 PM

Also Steve Earle from the time when Townes van Zandt still graced the world with his amazing presence, "Mercenary Song"

I didn't know that movie, I had to search for it with google and it looks bat**** crazy. But the song is dead cute.

So I pulled this cd out of my collection, and thought it would be something I'd want to listen to today as I was traveling about. Most of you won't recognize it, but you will like it, because it is timeless music.

David 05-29-2018 04:22 PM

I'm listening to Rufus Wainwright and Maxi Priest. I love Go or Go Ahead, Gravity, and Don't Let Me Down with Hardage.

Wood Brothers: When I Was Young

When I was young I used to wake up early in the morning
When I was young I could climb up a mountain didn't matter how tall
When I was young I didn't listen to anybody's warning
When I was young I could jump; I wasn't afraid to fall
