Melbourne 80 show

WOW.

Lindsey was hopped up on SOMETHING at this show I'm downloading from www.buckinghamnicks.net . During Don't Stop, he is like, yelling the words, and before Dreams, he whistles and goes "Hey...baby....Stevie....Stevie....speaking of Stevie, this is one of Stevie's songs...and it's called Dreams!!" in this WEIRD voice. LOL He just acts REALLY strange throughout this show. I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone.

Nancy made comments on the songs and his odd behavior when she posted them, but I've JUST NOW gotten a chance to hear the show.

Thanks Nancy for this show...it's a keeper!

I just wish there was a little more variety in their performances these days.
AMEN!! The only songs that you can expect to be varied are ISA and Come in terms of his vocals and playing.

Yeah, gone are the days when they were wacked outta their minds and playing with a fury. :(

I was just watching those two clips of Come from BuckinghamNicks.net and I noticed something really cool....During the verses he changes the position of his hand on the microphone to create a make-shift version of that "cubism-effect" of the studio version.

And the clip of the chorus is just frickin' awesome......God knows how he manages to scream like that night after night and not lose his voice!! I don't know how he does it, but keep it Comin'!

I was just referring to the way he replicates live the way the sound effect on the verses changes from phrase to phrase on the studio version. If you listen to the CD closely you'll notice that, for example...

"Living (comes from the left speaker)
in the guestroom (comes from the right speaker)
I guess she goes in style (comes from both/centre)"

And each phrase sounds different i.e. the FX changes from phrase to phrase.

When he's singing it live, his right hand is at different positions between the microphone and his mouth, and if you watch that clip from bn.net the change in sound with each change of hand position is very evident.
