Hidden meaning on Mirage cover?

I got excited when I saw this but I don't really see what they are talking about. Anyone see this?

Never bought into this. They aren't clever enough for it to be intentional in any way.

I always thought it meant, "Christine, let me see both of your hands... ." lol

Not kidding but even with the visual I could not see or understand it.
Strange how Mirage got thrown in with all these other album covers that clearly have hidden words, objects or meanings.
However, I did discover that if you play Empire State backwards it says "I am what I am, am what I am, am what I am a Stevie man"

Now that's just rude. I'm sure he didn't hate her as much as he does now, but I'm certain it was a work already in progress!:]

And I must be the only person who LOVES Empire State...

I was baffled by this also. I don't ever remember any talk of this and I just don't see an old woman in their hands.

I agree with FuzzyPlum in that I've never thought the band did this intentionally. There are other threads that suggest the photographer might have edited this in, but I've never clearly seen the woman without a prompt. I'm always surprised when the cover makes these hidden meaning lsts.

Here's another old (2003) thread for anyone interested. It had photos and images that are no longer included.

I asked Richard Dashut about this when he had his open questions in tumblr. He basically said that there was nothing accidential about that album cover....

Nothing may be an accident but is there a hidden meaning?
That was a cop out by Richard

Now that I see the alleged "face," it doesn't look like an old woman to me. It looks like Mick looking down at Lindsey's chest! But the Mick of 1997, not 1982. Which is even stranger.
