I love this version! I'm not sure where I got it, but I have the mp3 version

Not to bad mouth Stevie, but her voice does sound a little weak on this version :s Decent version of the song, though. Not my favourite by far, but it is listenable.

That version is really great. Not to take away from your version you posted,
but I just want to share the fact that I am madly in love with this video and it reminds me of the one you posted.
****ty quality, but just gorgeous :D: I have it on my iPod & everything.
I love when she sings, ''Well I know I could have loved you but you would not let me," for some reason.

Also kind of ironic when you think that it's targeted at Lindsey, and why exactly they broke up.

I've always wished there was a version of Silver Springs that didn't cut Stevie's "ranting" short but still had harmonies. The harmonies are amazing in the Rumours version but I miss a lot of the lines in the outtake!

Agreed. And this version is just boring and drones on and on. It's never been a mystery to me why Silver Springs didn't make Rumours... it just didn't play well with the other songs. The Dance version, though? Pure magic.

It surprises me how much I agree with this comment. Silver Springs is a quality song, but place it beside Gold Dust Woman and Second Hand News, for example, and it makes no sense. Best it stays in the high pile of "Best Of" songs, along with Paper Doll (What's the story on that song anyway?). The Dance album could hand the ass of every other version of that song to them on a silver platter. I just adore how it starts off slow, picks up a little steam and then kicks it up many notches with that deliceous crescendo. I love the fact that the first time I ever heard it (I'd uploaded the CD onto my iPod first as I got it before the DVD for some bizarre reason) I was walking in a storm. It literally made me stop in my tracks. Pure magic indeed.

I think it would have blended seamlessly with the rest of "Rumours." It has the same style of playing & the same treatment of the aural field. But I'm totally happy with "Rumours" as is. I think it's perfect!

... except for the reverb on the "Songbird" vocal & piano.

Aww, thank you so much for posting that; I loved it!

I guess I'm in the small minority of people who prefer the original version of Silver Springs to the one on The Dance, although The Dance version is brilliant too.
