"Insight" 1976 BBC Fleetwood Mac interview

(I already posted this on the Rumours side but actually think its of more interest to fans of the pre-Rumours era.)

.....is currently available to listen to (until this coming Friday 16th July,) on the BBC Iplayer. Really good Radio One interview from 1976.

The show goes through the whole history upto and including the 1975 Fleetwood Mac album. Mick and John talk us through the Peter Green era, Christine is there talking about joining during the Kiln House sessions. They discuss Jeremy, Danny and also that there were "personal issues" that took them off the road in 73 (the Bob Weston saga.) Also Bob Welch leaving and right upto Lindsey and Stevie joining and the new found success they'd had with their first album with the Rumours line-up - Lindsey and Stevie join in the discussion near the end. Also fascinating to hear the band before or maybe even during the time they were writing and recording Rumours. Well worth checking out. Plenty of background noise with John's drink with ice being swirled around

Now I know a great deal of you guys are not based in the UK. This is a problem as the BBC Iplayer does somehow prevent overseas residents listening/watching the iplayer. But I know if you google "how to watch the BBC Iplayer overseas?" there are a great many suggestions of ways around this. Sorry that I dont have any experience to share on this subject but worth seeing if there is an easy way around this problem. I do have the 1 hour file in mp3 format but sadly have no way of posting it for you guys to download. If it comes to it I could always burn to CD and mail to someone who can post online.

And if you do manage to be able to listen to this then you might want to try this link. I use it a lot. Enables you to download any radio show off the BBC Iplayer and converts it to MP3, which I did. Set it up on my ipod for a listen yesterday.

I swear to god it's Christine! Lindsey says something about full page adverts and she (or whoever it is) says that in a deep voice at around 53 mins on the first link.

I resent having to wait for this to download.
