So much for there ever being a reunion of the original lineup

LesPaul7 06-09-2018 01:34 PM

So very sad. His music inspires me, and has since I first heard it. I will always keep his music alive as long as I can. RIP, Danny Kirwan.

I thought that as well. Would have been incredible for Peter and Danny to come out for an encore on the upcoming tour. Perhaps Peter will.

Damn, just seen this news

I miss you again,
I see the sunlight through my eyes,
I wont cry.

As is often the case, he might actually get more recognition in death than he ever did alive.

So sad to hear this. He was too young. RIP.

A couple of weeks ago I compiled a three hour play list of Mac songs from the six albums from Kiln House to Heroes are hard to find. Danny's music comprised a third of it and I was entranced by it all over again.

When the white flame in us is gone,
And we that lost the world's delight
Stiffen in darkness, left alone
To crumble in our separate night;

When your swift hair is quiet in death,
And through the lips corruption thrust
Has stilled the labour of my breath --
When we are dust, when we are dust!

Rupert Brooke, set to music by D.K.

RIP Danny.

Your music touched me. Thank you for that.

You live on through your music here on earth, and may your soul play on eternally in Heaven.

Danny was destined to be a lost boy..maybe too sensitive for this world. God rest his soul.

For some reason I thought Bob Welch was there from the beginning.

Nope.. he didn't show up until 4 years into the band's career.

Terrible news. Danny made such beautiful music for Fleetwood Mac.

He turned 18 in May 1968 and joined FM in August that year.

Danny was such an incredible artist and one of my favorite FM members. He created some of Fleetwood Mac's most beautiful and melodic songs. His spirit will definitely live on through his music. I hope his soul is at rest now.

What a surprise (CNN)...

I click to read an article about Danny from CNN.
Want to guess who the second picture down was?
STEVIE NICKS playing a guitar???

Are you kidding me? Figures.
