3 MORE DAYS!!!!

Who's going to be there?

I've lived in Atlanta for two years and have no idea where the Variety Playhouse is but I'll get there. By foot, MARTA, taxi, car, or sled, there is no way I'm missing out on my one chance to see this legend perform. Opening night, no less.

It kills me! My brother lives in Atlanta, and I even offered to BUY him the ticket if he would go and try to get LB's autograph for me. He said, and I quote..."I dont have to time to see that nonsense!" hahaha

I'm sure Variety Playhouse is sold out, right? It's not a big venue.

I lived in ATL years ago. That venue holds abot 600 people from what I remember. Depends on the way they have it set up.

Ok here is my situation:

Should I go? I live in Knoxville, which is not a bad drive at all. However, I am on the swim team at my university and practice for me will not end until about 4 PM on Friday. Which would put me in Atl around 7 pm (well....with traffic...I have no clue!) Is this cutting it too close to show time? Not to mention...I have to turn around and go back to Knoxville for a 7 am practice Saturday....

I must be crazy.

Hmm, don't know what I'm wearing yet, and I don't have a decent picture to post...I have blond hair...and I'm only 5'1", so I'll be extremely easy to miss!:laugh:

We get to see him on the big opening night!!!! Btw, is anyone going to communicate the set list back to a Ledgie to post for anyone who is interested? Since lots of Ledgies know each other in "real life" :D I figured that plans might already be made for someone to do that. If not, I'd be glad to text the songs to someone over here if anyone wants to know --while it's happening!!

Argh. Reading all of this makes me really want to go. I just went to the Petty/Nicks show in ATL on the 22nd, but wasn't too crazy about the part of town where the amphitheater was.

Anyone have any clue what kind of town the Variety Playhouse is in?

It's in Little Five Points. Decent area of town.
