Some shows have tanked in some markets. Yep, they are new and nobody knows who they are.

Buckingham/McVie?? Who the hell is that??

In 2017, two older musicians (that never really had the stardom Stevie had) are doing it!!

That's brave. New album that charted beyond expectation. UK loving it.

3000k-6000k venue shows. The Greek is nearly sold out! NYC Beacon is nearly sold out. Vegas has picked up tremendously.. (it was looking bleak) WA is completely sold out. She's 74!!! (in 5 days) Like Wow!!

Wolftrap was nearly sold out too, lawn was nicely filled too, and that was one of the first shows! go DC area peeps!! :woohoo::cool::thumbsup:

People know who they are when they go by their proper name . . .

Starting with "Whenever I Call You Friend," and continuing with "Stop Dragging My Heart Around" and "Leather and Lace," Stevie was able to establish herself as an entity outside of the band by singing with other rock stars. Lindsey and Christine were too busy making Fleetwood Mac albums to establish themselves outside of the band that way, which is exactly why they should have called "LB/CM" Fleetwood Mac and should have gone on the road with Mick and John as Fleetwood Mac.

The album is at #168 on the Billboard 200 in its third week (17-95-168).

I'm surprised it hasn't had a bit more staying power than that, given they're on tour. Maybe it'll pick back up now that they're in full swing.

UK numbers, on the other hand, wow. I can't think of another FM-related project that's had that kind of staying power on any chart, anywhere, since - well, Tango!

I think some fans are stuck in a time warp, still measuring the band's chart success on the same scale as 1977. So the rankings today are always going to be disappointing, if it's not Top 10. Why not enjoy the music without imposing unrealistic expectations for yourself and the band?

I agree. Sales are nice to gauge the level of interest in a project, but no one in FM's class sells records like they used to. Let's just be happy that they are willing to keep on doing it and releasing some good music.

I don't think anyone on here is that naive. All I was saying is that I'm surprised the album hasn't hung on a little better than it has.

I believe if Stevie had kicked in a few decent songs and had they called it a Fleetwood Mac album and marketed it very well it could have been at least a gold album here and worldwide it could have sold in the millions.

The album exits the UK Top 20 for its 5th week on the UK albums chart but only just, slipping 8 places to #24. This is still good considering the current industry and shows the album is still selling well here. BBC Radio 2 have finally gotten rid of Red Sun from their playlist so I expect the album to drop further at a more considerable rate from now on. Unless they add another track from the album to their playlist which is possible.

Anyway, its UK chart run and sales is as follows:

Week 1: #5 - 19,147 copies
Week 2: #10 - 10,462 copies (29,609 copies)
Week 3: #17 - 4,738 copies (34,347 copies)
Week 4: #16 - NOT AVAILABLE - approx 5,000 (>39,000 copies)
Week 5: #24 - NOT AVAILABLE - approx 3,500 (>42,500 copies)

The album drops quite considerably on the UK chart this week largely due to the fact that BBC Radio 2 has dropped Red Sun from its playlist. It falls 23 places this week to #57 for its 6th week on the chart overall.

Its UK chart run and sales is as follows:

Week 1: #5 - 19,147 copies

Week 6: #57 - NOT AVAILABLE - approx 1,500 (>44,000 copies)

I think the album has done very very well, considering the current climate of album sales and how streaming has taken over.
Especially in the UK, it has sold VERY well.
And the fact the album debuted in the top 20 in the USA..WOW!
I think it has exceeded expectations.

Judging by their expressions on every concert I think the first expectations this album has exceeded are theirs. :)

Still hoping for a UK tour...

Still hoping for BuckVie II, if we can't get another FM record. I at least have faith in 2 of FMs singer/songwriters in trying to carry on the creative process of making new music in this dimension.
