Are they really that different from what we have? I’m asking not disagreeing since I haven’t listened.

NO Questions asked is a totally new song -- it sounds amazing. as are some of the old Pre-BN Christine songs. really great remaster. The weird WEIRD thing is that some of these songs (NO Questions asked, Skies the Limit, and more) are remastered on Spotify but are NOT on the CD or Apple Music.

I think so far Love Shines and No Questions Asked have been the ones that have really blown my mind. They should be performing more of these songs!

Say You Will sounds different to my ears. Almost liked either some of the guitars got turned up a notch or something else got turned down. Especially in the beginning 20 seconds.

Say you will is the rare single version.

No questions is not a remix but a poor Remaster. They just Bricked it and amped up ALL the volume and took away the dynamics. Its Flat and loud. Thats all. Its what they do to a lot of music these days to sound “better” on small speakers and headphones. Gone are the days music is Mastered for HiFi and big floor speakers with flat response curves

I'm only listening on Spotify. Save Me and the other 1990 tracks don't sound any different from the Chain box on Spotify. I'm spending a little more time with the pre-1975 tracks to see whether I'm pleased with the remastering. So far, my problem is with the 1990 material. Affairs of the Heart is the same washed out misfire that it was on the box. On all three releases, Stevie's lead vocal is mixed like a background vocal. She seems to be singing from the next room over.

Bummer. I haven't listened on vinyl yet but the folks who have are descibing it as perfection. Affairs of the Heart you say? I must hear that. But right now I'm listening to Etta James cover You Go to My Head. Woo, woo, woo. Sigh. :lol: :woohoo:

Maybe but it's not the Chris Lord Alge remix. I must dig that out. It's sooo good.
