Oscars
And the nominees are...
http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/Movi...ons/index.html No real big surprises, IMO. |
I'm suprised that the stupid Aviator got so many noms.
whatev. At least Don Cheadle got nommed. And Annette Bening better beat Swank this year. Poor Paul Giamatti. :distress: |
The Aviator was a GREAT movie
|
Yeah...no surprises with the noms.
However, CNN was talking about the lookover of Passion and F9-11. |

Aviator...not so good! Passion DID at least get 3 noms. Cinematography, makeup, and score! (IMO...it should have been nom for best actor (Jim Caviezel) and best actress (Maia Morgenstern) and no Phantom of the Opera noms? or did I overlook that!?! |

But it doesn't matter who was nominated in the Best Actor category - Jamie Foxx is a shoo-in. |

Me either...........maybe cuz the nominated movies are usually boring epics that no one sees anyway. |
And finally they didn't include Diarios de Motocicleta among the Foreign language nominees. I have not seen it but I heard is a great movie (about a young che Guevara )
|
I really hope Kate Winslet wins for best actress. I know she absolutely will not, but Eternal Sunshine is my favorite movie... :(
Frankly, I'm very relieved not to see The Passion up for best picture. |

I have to say - apart from the emotion in the story that many apparently felt due to their religious beliefs, the acting was not that great. He did an okay job, but hardly Oscar worthy. She, on the other hand, was IMO geat and an Academy Award nomination would not have been out of the question  |
