New Danny Kirwan photo???
 

Hi everybody!

I did a Danny Kirwan photo search a while ago, and came across a very low quality photo of a man in his 50s/60s. It's very small in size, unfortunately. No text/info appeared, and the photo does not claim to be a photo of Danny Kirwan. But it appeared as a search result.

But look at those EYES!!!
Could it be him? I look and look, and keep comparing with other photos of him. But I haven't got a clue!

ever heard of charles bukowski? i bet, if you'll google him, this picture will appear.

i just checked it out - this very picture does not appear, but it definitely is bukowski. another alcoholic, by the way.

Yes, you are right, it is indeed Bukowski. I guess it must have been my imagination running wild, in desperate need of some Kirwan news...

I don't think there has been any news of him in the last ten years. I believe Jeremy Spencer said that he is no longer homeless

i understand you very well, dansven, as i also keep looking out all over the place for any kind of news on danny. but i guess right now there's really nothing more to it than what welcomechris mentioned. and i can only hope that danny is o.k. and well - under the given circumstances.

I don't know whether I read it on The Ledge or somewhere else- but I recall somebody mention the possibility of a documentary. Now, I wouldn't want to encroach on his current life if he's stable and happy enough but it would be nice to have some sort of professional documentation recorded. Did this never get off the ground? If not, is it something that could be crowdfunded if there was enough will which I think there might just be?

I have to admire Danny for intentionally or unintentionally staying off the grid. In an age where anybody can find anything on anyone, this truly is an achievement...
