MIRAGE DELUXE Release date 7/29/16 and more...

Mirage Deluxe release date 7/29/16 SRP $19.99
UPC 603497878949

Mirage (Remastered) release date 7/29/16 SRP $9.99
UPC603497878963

An oddity...
Hold Me (Early Version) release date 5/12/16 SRP $1.29
UPC 603497873289

I suppose Hold Me could be a single released as a teaser
for the remastered Mirage.

________________________________________________________

I hope there's a deluxe box set as with Tusk and Rumours.
But this is all that I have except for some sell sheets and artist
bio's. And right now all I'm seeing is this.

Maybe Mirage Deluxe is the remastered CD with
alternate takes and the 5.1 disc.

Dragon 05-08-2016 04:42 AM

I am looking forward to Mirage remastered. I guess that leaves Tango in the Night for remastering in the future.

July 29? Omg that's so far away.

jbrownsjr 05-08-2016 07:31 AM

They just added a month. Thanks for posting, though.

No. "Far away" would be the next Fleetwood Mac album!

July 29th is right around the corner and so very quick after Ken announced the project a month and a half ago!

Can't wait for this one!

Although I must say, at $19.99, it looks like a "Deluxe" version might only have one more extra disc of outtakes, etc. But I'll take what I can get!

thepoetinmyhear 05-08-2016 12:23 PM

For Tusk, wasn't there a Deluxe but also a Super Deluxe which is what had the live discs and the 5.1. Maybe it's the same thing here and they just haven't solicited the super deluxe yet?

lennonfan 05-08-2016 01:23 PM

this is fine news! I am curious though if they'll do another Tusk like mega box with vinyl, or if the deluxe listed above is cd/dvd.

Jondalar 05-08-2016 01:33 PM

Judging from price. Doubt this will be that extensive. Dont expect the rock versions of smile at you, if you were my love....

KenshiMaster16 05-08-2016 01:38 PM

The price is about what the original 2-disc remasters of Rumours and Tusk were priced at when I worked at F.Y.E. some 10ish years ago so I'm expecting two discs, one with the original album and the second with outtakes, demos and the likes. Looks like, for the time being, no live cuts. I would expect maybe a couple surprises though considering Rumours and Tusk had some.

I think most people want the live versions of Stevie songs.

aleuzzi 05-08-2016 02:12 PM

Great. I will certainly buy it. But I'd prefer a set release date for NEW music.

At a $20 price tag, I would think it'll be 3 discs (like the Tusk remaster). Remastered album on disc 1, outtakes & demos on disc 2, and disc 3 as the 5.1. Well, hopefully. I'm surprised they aren't doing a vinyl edition with all the discs for $49 or something.

WatchChain 05-08-2016 03:46 PM

I simply LOVE "Mirage". It is, by far, the most underrated, underappreciated Fleetwood Mac album. It is FAR SUPERIOR to "Tango In The Night". Another post once said that it plays like a "music box". I love that description, because it's MY music box. It's light, airy, moody, and sublime. I cannot WAIT for the deluxe remaster of this fine record!

Wdm6789 05-08-2016 04:12 PM

I really want live tracks from the Mirage tour. 1982 live Sara please.

We already know a 5.1 mix is in the set so however many discs there are one of them is a dvd.

Might be 3 then, the remastered album, bonus disc and the 5.1 dvd.

RIGHT??? Maybe they will but are just waiting a little longer to announce it? Here's hoping! I know I would totally buy it, and I know a lot of "vinyl aficionados" who would also snatch it up!

Okay, but then is it reliable? I guess I'm saying without official confirmation from iTunes, amazon.com, or any Mac website, then I wonder if the months of July and August are the window for a release date. If they were, wouldn't there be some acknowledgment of this by the label or places it would sell?

I could not have said it better myself.
A-men

When I first joined this forum, Mirage was the punching bag of many if not most. I love to finally see the love for Mirage shine.

I hope the DVD is not a rumor or trick. I simply cannot believe we would get a full concert on DVD. I would love it so much.

If you're speaking of the 5.1 disc which is probably a DVD
audio disc like the Tusk set has, you're going to be disappointed.

Unless of course they go with a deluxe box set like Rumours.
But as of yet...

1. Things can always change but I haven't been wrong before using this source.

2. Yep.

Everyone should consider what just happened. A very famous
artist just died. And he just happened to be on the same label
as Fleetwood Mac.

With them not being prepared, as in having sufficient stock of
his music. The highest priority has gone to that artist music.
You would be shocked to see what's coming. And not just CD's.
Vinyl - vinyl - vinyl. And even a new cassette release.
Some of this info has been released.

3. Nope.

Richard B 05-09-2016 07:58 PM

Fleetwood Mac was on Warner Bros Records. You can not find Fleetwood Mac listed anywhere on their main website, artist roster or official store. They don't exist. But somehow they managed to release the box sets, go figure.

Oh, okay. So you have an inside scoop. Understood. That wasn't clear to me from your initial post on this thread. And then when Olive chimed in with the stickers I thought I was on the wrong side of an inside joke.

The only information I have is from Ken's that said June release. I don't have any other source. Not sure about the inside joke between olive and Imnotafraid. could be nothing.. who knows..

I'm so inclined to agree with you. I love Mirage more than Tango as well...but with a caviat: side 1 of Tango is superb, IMO it's only Christine that saves side 2 which is on the verge of disaster to my ears. Stevie sounds zonked and uninspired and Lindsey sounds like he's in a shopping mall.

Looks like some good stuff. No full concert though. And what are the repeat songs on the dvd, I wonder?

Macfan4life 05-10-2016 01:43 PM

Wow, I LOVE IT.
I just wonder. All the live songs are from the commercial release we have seen/heard a million times. I wonder if the full concert was recorded and that is why HBO, Fleetwood Mac, and now this re-mastered release does not contain any new live songs from that concert. I cant imagine if they had access to those songs they would have included a Don't Stop, Sara, or Hold Me.
If they do have access to those recordings and did not include these hidden gems....that is a shame. I have listened to these exact Mirage songs live from the Forum a million times. I LOVE THEM and will cherish a DVD or CD but really wanted something new. The early versions of the songs really peak my interest.

jbrownsjr 05-10-2016 01:55 PM

I'll take it!

jessej 05-10-2016 02:36 PM

Amazing ! Sooo excited for a proper audio of the Forum show . And cool water and smile at you ;) and my fave Book of love , early version !

jessej 05-10-2016 02:39 PM

Im wondering about tracks 13-20 on the dvd ?
