Fuzzyplum has a superb point about the abacus though. SUPERB.:xoxo::xoxo::xoxo:

Edited to add that "he has not denied this" is NOT proof. I have not denied to have stolen my neighbours car, yet, I haven't.

Where the hell's my car gone????

I really hope Stevie turns it around or, on that deathbed, I fear she will be filled with regret....

If by "loved the most" she mean "boinked the most", than "correct". I honestly don't think that woman has truly loved anyone but her own reflection. Ever. People who are great at writing about love seldom experienced or had much luck with it. :sorry:

Like the monignior at my church growing up once said in a sermon "love is NOT a pulsating pen......" You get the picture.

Ouch! I don't believe that! She surely loved Lindsey, who was there for her before she was a famous rock star. He knew the "real Stevie." (Now there's one less person around her who doesn't just see her as a rock star.) However, it is possible that she has never been able to surrender her heart entirely to anyone. Perhaps she always holds something back. Thus, "the story ended tragically."

Stevie and Lindsey

I was going to start a separate thread about Lindsey and Stevie but noticed the discussion here has evolved into that anyway.

Lindsey and Stevie did love each other. Do they love each other still? Of course they do. Listen to the emotion in She Loves Him Still, recorded just four years ago. And I have NO DOUBT that Stevie is going to drop some bombs in the form of two or three new songs on tour about, you guessed it, Lindsey. :xoxo::xoxo:

Or maybe she will just sing "My Mother's Rings" about her mom.

:(

Stevie and Lindsey were together EIGHT years. My dad dated a lady named Lizz for EIGHT years. He never got over her, even though he remarried, he still hates anyone to say a bad word about Lizz. But my mom is another story, he has loathed her for the 16 years they have been divorced.

Stevie is Lindsey's Lizz. Or Lizz is Dad's Stevie. The men and women we never get over, even if we move on and you know what - after 43 years as close colleagues, who can blame them for wanting time apart, when their full time touring schedule would push them to breaking point and damage Lindsey's marriage and Stevie's romance with Dave Stewart? (Tongue in cheek there)

If it were a mutual decision to take some time apart, then that would be one thing.

But Lindsey was fired from the band he had devoted most of his life to... FOREVER, unless things change. Stevie ripped a huge part of his life away from him. She tossed him aside like garbage and replaced him with another man in a heartbeat, as if he were nothing but a sideman.

How are they going to come back from this?

I'm afraid she destroyed their 50 year relationship forever. :(

I hope I'm wrong.

I hope this has not destroyed their relationship forever too.

Aside from her brother, who else is still alive that she has all that shared history with?

I guess you just have to hope she wakes up one morning and realises today is the day to suck it up and give him a heartfelt apology.

I get your point, but to a lesser extent I would also say Waddy, Mick, John, Christine, Richard, and Keith. They all knew her before she was anyone.

Lets not forget how much she loved her parents.
So, because Lindsey is fired from FM, we now are having to name proof that Stevie has indeed loved people in her life, and not just her own reflection in the mirror?
Truly weird

$he will regret what $he has done. And her comments about being happy, the pre B/N setlist, and possibly recording with this new line-up tell me that $he'$ already trying to ju$tify her action$ in her head.

Richard and Keith don't count. She doesn't stay in contact with them. Their "shared history" ended a while back, just like high school friends you don't talk to anymore.

Mick, John, and Christine knew her before she was anyone... for a few months!

You have a point with Waddy, but I think "to a lesser extent" doesn't really convey how wide the gap is.

The thing about Stevie and Lindsey's shared history is that they met when they were teenagers. When you're young, there's a big difference between 17 and 23.

And unlike Waddy, whose relationship with Stevie has always been filtered through nothing but music, going back to the guy with a guitar smoking pot on the floor who's part of the LA scene.... Lindsey goes back to the teenage kid grabbing lemonade out of her mother's refrigerator when they both were still living with their parents in the suburbs, nursing dreams. The gap is huge.

As Angel75 says, other than Chris, there isn't any other living person who has consistently been in her life for that long.

To throw it into the flames...

Tragic.

We've got a bit of a criss-cross here. SteveMacD was naming people he thought Stevie had a shared history with that was comparable to her shared history with Lindsey's, not people he believed she loved.

However, I am sure you are right that she loved her parents very, very much.
