On With The Show: Christine
Rehearsals should be starting soon. What exactly will Christine McVie's contributions to this tour be?
Here's my guess: Say You Love Me- I think this will be her first song. I don't think it will open the show though. Why- She's mentioned there may be a few surprises. This could be the time to bring out this fan favourite. Fingers crossed. You Make Loving Fun- A definite. New Song- I'm pretty sure they'll play a couple of new songs ahead of an album release. Little Lies- Probably this or Everywhere- not sure they'll play both. Isn’t It Midnight- Would love to see Lindsey shred this live. Don’t Stop- A definite. Songbird- Has to close the show. Of course I'd love to hear other songs in the set but realistically I think she'd be limited to a maximum of 8. Why's probably the least likely. |
For some reason I feel Little Lies will surely be apart of this set list. I am also inclined to believe Tusk tracks will be the "surprises." Well maybe one Tusk track (Never Forget) and one Mirage (Hold Me). I highly doubt "Why" will be included. I just don't want to get my hopes up, I guess.

Didn't they mention Brown Eyes was one of the tracks?

'I think we're going to concentrate on the obvious ones, on my major hits, sticking the odd left of centre one in now and again. It could be anything from Brown Eyes, it could be Oh Daddy, it could be something even more obscure. I mean, never say never, there's going to be the odd song that pops up and we say oh why don't we try that'. So, if anyone in the band (or associated with the band) looks at The Ledge then please, please please let your left of centre song be 'Why'. |
I think that it's almost inevitable that one of her Tusk songs will be in the set. I don't much care for them, I have to say, but if I had to guess I'd say it'll be Brown Eyes or Over & Over.
I think otherwise:- Everywhere (not Little Lies) Say You Love Me Songbird (midway through the set, this time, in an acoustic section) You Make Loving Fun Don't Stop New Song I think they may drop World Turning. |

I think you all are forgetting "Over my Head." I also want Chris to play the first song she played live on stage after 15 years of retirement "Get Like You Used to Be"
|
I'm speculating that 8 Christine songs will make the set list. They will be:
Say You Love Me You Make Loving Fun Songbird Everywhere Don't Stop Brown Eyes Hold Me New Song (from the recent sessions) |

I like Hold Me, but not sure how they'd do it live. The 1982 tour version was a bit ropey... |
My hunch is they'll want to make the whole 'Rumours band' reunion thing sufficiently different to The Dance. For that reason I think they may go for Little Lies over Everywhere.

Please play Hold Me!
Lol I know I know. The Christine songs I want in, other than Hold me, are: Say you love me You make loving fun Little lies Everywhere Isn't it midnight Love in store Songbird would be nice of course maybe it could be paired with Landslide, if it isn't the final encore. Don't stop, of course. I'm only expecting one song from Tango in the night. I feel like Say you love me and You make loving fun are a sure thing. Christine and the others especially Lindsey keep saying they're doing Christine's hits. They haven't done any of Christine's Mirage songs since 1982 so it gives me hope for Hold me. I also somewhat expect they will just recycle The Dance yet again. I am really excited to see Christine on the piano/keyboard for Sara, I know it's Stevie's, but I really want to see it live with Christine back. I hope they don't take Sara off the list. The Chain is going to be awesome too with all five of them. I've only seen the four of them live and I never thought I would ever see all five, so I'm pretty excited. |
Brown Eyes and Isn't It Midnight are the two songs I'm hoping will be performed. Heart of Stone would be a nice surprise, but I doubt it will be wheeled out.
