I LOVE:
Love in Store Book of Love Gypsy That's Alright Straight Back Eyes of the World I LIKE: Hold Me Wish You Were Here Can't Go Back Only Over You I DISLIKE: Empire State Oh Diane I see I am one of the few that likes Book of Love. I think this is one of Lindsey's few songs where be put his heart on his sleeve. Oh Diane, to me, just doesn't sound like a FM song to me and I don't like Lindsey's voice on it. And it's interesting to see that Stevie's songs rate so high, but I'll be the first to say Lindsey did a phenomenal job with them! |

I think I recall Richard saying on Truth & Consequences this song originally came from him. He'd started writing the words to the song (inspired by Mary Torrey Devitto???) and then Lindsey came on board and completed it. RD described it as his most significant songwriting moment. I don't know whether this is true, perhaps Lindsey might say otherwise. |

Wow this is hard.
Love in Store - a simple love song but the harmonies still make me melt Straight Back - pure Stevie magic, the writing, the music, the Christine backing vocals still give me goosebumps Gypsy - played to death but one of the best Mac songs ever - best bridge on any song Hold Me - pure pop greatness Amazing piano and melody - great guitar solo too Wish you were here - love it Only over you - a dreamy love haze song That's Alright - could almost be a country cross over Empire State Cant Go Back Eyes of the World - much better live Oh Diane Book of Love I love all the songs and it was hard ranking them |
Gypsy
Hold Me Only Over You That's Alright If You Were My Love (if they kept working on it and cleaned it up more. I would trade Straight Back for a more polished If You Were My Love) |

"Mirage" is the most underrated Fleetwood Mac album ever recorded. It's my music box and I LOVE it!

Thanks for the scoop about Book of Love, FuzzyPlum and SisterNightroad! That even explains why it doesn't 'seem' like a Lindsey song, at least lyrically.
