Let's post photos of our favourite guitarist here. :)
Any photo! Band pics or solo... And hopefully some rare that you want to share. Here's one I hadn't seen until recently. Don't know who that other guy is.... maybe Peter Vernon-Kell? |
Well, among others I found this one on the web:

Again Mario,
thanks so much for sharing your pictures:wavey: It is a privilege seeing THE MASTER with a guitar!:D I hope one day he will come to Canada ......it is a shame that not many people here knows about PG...... I sound like broken record every day tellin my friends how good he is;) ,,damn, its cold in Ontario!!! |
Great photos, folks! :)
Wouter, the group photo in the middel of those three you posted is unknown to me! NICE! Mario, thanks for that new photo!! Mike Dodd seems like a good guy! Jim Morrison: Let us know about your meeting with Eric Burdon. ;) One question for you all: A few years ago Peter's nephew Joe Green visited this forum and posted a few drawings that Peter Green made. I downloaded them, but lost them in a computer crash a while back. Now I can't find them on this forum either. Does anybody here have these photos and be able to post them again? That would make me veeerrry happy. :) |
Unfortunately didnt have chance to meet Eric Burdon last night. He put up great show here in Windsor,Canada.
By the way, does anybody knows if they have ever jam together? Just came across few records like TRAMP and 'Brunning Sunflower Blues Band' . Peter Green name is all over it.... Maybe some of you knows more:shrug: |
Eric Burdon & Peter
According to the Celmins biography, Peter told John Mayall that he'd had an offer to join the Animals.
This was after Clapton left the Bluesbreakers for the second time, and Peter was trying to make Mayall sweat a little as to whether or not he ( Peter ) would return. Based on this information, one could assume the Burdon and Green crossed paths back in the day. |
Evan Morris: Thanks for the info about Peter being offered a job with the Animals. I've read it long ago, but forgotten all about it. :)
Jim Morrison: Bob Brunning (Fleetwood Mac's first and temporary bassist) formed two bands with Bob Hall (piano). Brunning Sunflower Blues Band released an LP called "Brunning Sunflower Blues Band" in the late 60's, featuring Peter Green on about half of the tracks. Peter's playing is brilliant, and he also sings on a couple of tracks. Tramp released two LPs called "Tramp" (1969) and "Put A Record On" (1974), featuring Danny Kirwan and Mick Fleetwood on most tracks. |

A million thanks to you!!! :wavey: They're a bit psychedelic.. ;) |
These pictures are fascinating, abstract and unselfconscious and I don't know why I'm surprised- they are clearly from an intensely creative imagination. I wonder when they were done?

Les Paul Tailpiece
Strange that the strings are fed in backwards and therefore wrapped over the top of the tailpiece before going over the bridge I've never seen this done on any tunomatic with tailpiece before (though of course it is done on a LP junior ,because the tailpiece is also the bridge !) .Could there be an advantage to it ?
