Live Solo Acoustic Album Out November 13!
Lindsey Buckingham has been traveling throughout the U.S. this year playing intimate, unplugged concerts in support of his 2011 solo album, Seeds We Sow. Now, the Fleetwood Mac singer/guitarist is set to release one of these performances as a digital download. Lindsey Buckingham: One Man Show, will be available via iTunes on November 13, and will be the veteran artist's first recording documenting one of his solo acoustic gigs. The album was recorded at a September 1 show that was held at Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines, Iowa.
"This performance is from a single night in Des Moines…taken right off the console mix, with a couple of room mikes added in," Buckingham says about the album. "It's live and raw, with no post-production. I love it! It captures not only the spirit of the performance, but also the spirit of where I now live as an artist." The 13-song recording captures Buckingham playing various selections from solo catalog, including "Go Insane" and Trouble," as well as Fleetwood Mac classics like "Go Your Own Way" and "Never Going Back Again." Buckingham will hit the road for a new series of U.S. solo acoustic shows starting November 3 in Oklahoma City. Visit LindseyBuckingham.com to check out all of his upcoming tour dates. A very nice surprise. I don't think I've downloaded a boot since the Saban, so it will be very nice to have a clean, soundboard mix. I can't wait.

Wow, amazing news!! I really want to listen this new album!
Nice to see Bleed to love Her, NGBA and I'm so afraid on the setlist... Hey! Yesterday I was listening to the versions of NGBA and This nearly was mine from the '92 Center Stage video. So, I'm already beating the new acoustic work... Regards!! :blob2: |
Cool!
It's a shame that two of his very best songs are being left off but this is still a nice surprise. I've said plenty of times before that this is exactly the kind of thing Lindsey should be doing for every single show on his tour and then they should be on sale from his website. Other bands do it and it doesn't take a lot of work. I'd do all the mixing and editing for him if he sent me the files! Bar the two missing tracks my only gripe is that I'd like to be able to get a lossless version for my "archive", not a lossy Apple file. Or does iTunes offer lossless files and I've missed it? |

I was disturbed by the tags on the link above though: in Classic Hits, Classic Rock, Oldies :( |

love him embracing digital tech and also how liberated he's been since leaving WB   |

either way, 2 live albums, 2 different tours, plus a studio album, all within less than 2 year time span - how great is that?! :xoxo: |
Very excited for this.

I'm so proud of Lindsey, it's as if he finally 'get's it'. He is treating his fans with so much respect.
The love and respect keeps going up! :] |
Its funny that most of us are excited for an instrumental track lasting a whopping two minutes...I'm one of them! Can't wait for a soundboard "Stephanie." :D
|
Looking forward to this!

Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham To Release Solo Acoustic Live Album 11 hour(s) ago | Music News | By Rock Square Lindsey Buckingham’s critically acclaimed cross-country solo tour doesn’t wind down until late November, but the Fleetwood Mac frontman is already releasing a live album recorded during his 2012 jaunt. Lindsey Buckingham: One Man Show will be available digitally on iTunes come November 13. The “raw and unmixed” thirteen-song set was recorded live and in one take on September 1, 2012 at Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines, Iowa. According to Buckingham, the recording was “taken right off the console mix, with a couple of room mikes added in. It’s live and raw with no post-production. I love it! It captures not only the spirit of the performance, but also the spirit of where I now live as an artist.” Elaborating on that “spirit”, Buckingham said: “My center has always been voice and guitar, and as I've evolved, I've looked to broaden the range and vocabulary of that center. So when I decided to tour in 2012, it suddenly felt as though I'd been working towards something, that I'd arrived at a new place. I sensed it was time to do something I'd never done: a one man show.” YouTube evidence suggests that Buckingham’s Des Moines performance was a hushed and reverent affair more than deserving of an official document. Check out the video below. Stirring stuff, right? Tracklist: 1. Cast Away Dreams 2. Bleed To Love Her 3. Not Too Late 4. Stephanie 5. Come 6. Shut Us Down 7. Go Insane 8. Never Going Back Again 9. Big Love 10. So Afraid 11. Go Your Own Way 12. Trouble 13. Seeds We Sow Tour dates: 11/3: Oklahoma City, OK - Academy of Contemporary Music 11/4: Overland Park, KS - Yardley Hall 11/5: Little Rock, AR - Juanita’s 11/7: Chattanooga, TN - Track 29 11/8: Nashville, TN - War Memorial Auditorium 11/9: St. Louis, MO - Pageant 11/11: Asheville, NC - The Orange Peel 11/12: Knoxville, TN - Bijou Theatre 11/13: Louisville, KY - Headliners 11/14: Lexington, KY - Opera House 11/16: Saugatuck, MI - Saugatuck Center for the Arts 11/17: Milwaukee, WI - South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center 11/18: Madison, WI - Barrymore Theatre 11/19: Eau Claire, WI - State Theatre 11/20: Minneapolis, MN - Dakota |

MUSIC NEWS LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM RELEASING FIRST LIVE ALBUM NEXT MONTH 10/31/2012 Lindsey Buckingham will release his first ever solo live album via iTunes on November 13th. The 13-song collection, Lindsey Buckingham: One Man Show, was recorded on September 1st in Des Moines, Iowa at Hoyt Sherman Place, and chronicles the set Buckingham has been playing on his current solo acoustic tour. The album features Buckingham tapping into his solo work with tracks like "Go Insane" and "Trouble," Fleetwood Mac with "I'm So Afraid," and "Go Your Own Way" -- and even a rare dip into the Buckingham Nicks catalogue with "Stephanie." The tracklisting for Lindsey Buckingham: One Man Show is: "Cast Away Dreams," "Bleed To Love Her," "Not Too Late," "Stephanie," "Come," "Shut Us Down," "Go Insane," "Never Going Back Again," "Big Love," "I'm So Afraid," "Go Your Own Way," "Trouble," and "Seeds We Sow." We asked Lindsey Buckingham if he was ever been jealous of his late '70s colleagues Peter Frampton and Neal Schon, who came to symbolize the guitar heroes of the era, while his own groundbreaking work was buried under the drama of the Fleetwood Mac myth: "To some degree, the way the average person judges guitar is sort of guitar for its own sake. And I guess, I've always tried to make guitar in service of the song, and maybe that makes it a little less obvious to the average listener. Part of what I judge success as being, in terms of good record making is when the guitar work -- or any instrumentation kind of melds to the song and becomes not something that you're aware of, just becomes part and parcel with the whole." Lindsey Buckingham tour dates (subject to change): November 3 - Oklahoma City, OK - Academy Of Contemporary Music at University Of Central Oklahoma November 4 - Overland Park, KS - Carlsen Center November 5 - Little Rock, AR - Juanita's Cantina Ballroom November 7 - Chattanooga, TN - Track 29 November 8 - Nashville, TN - War Memorial Auditorium November 9 - St. Louis, MO - The Pageant November 11 - Asheville, NC - The Orange Peel November 12 - Knoxville, TN - Bijou Theatre November 13 - Louisville, KY - Headliners Music Hall November 14 - Lexington, KY - Lexington Opera House November 16 - Saugatuck, MI - Saugatuck Center For The Arts November 17 - South Milwaukee, WI - South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center November 18 - Madison, WI - Barrymore Theatre November 19 - Eau Claire, WI - State Theatre November 20 - Minneapolis, MN - Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant |
