Stevie Nicks Remix Project, Part 2:
I started the first Stevie Nicks Remix Project thread when I first joined The Ledge about 3 years ago. Many of the links present in that thread are dead, so I thought I'd start "Part 2."
I'll start with posting a handful of new House/Dance/Trance cover versions of "Edge" released in the past year or so, followed by the white label & bootleg remixes of "Edge." The remixes that Warner officially commissioned (on spec ) in 2007 have been kept under wraps. One of the 12-inch singles of "Big Love" had extra Stevie vocals on the House On The Hill Dub. These are different Stevie vocals that on the Extended Remix and the Piano Dub (both of which were posted in the previous Remix Project thread).
Does anyone have the House On The Hill Dub of "Big Love" with the extra Stevie vocals on them to post here? Again, these are not the same vocals as on the other remixes. Note: These are the original 1987 12-inch singles, not that recent Deep Dish stuff. |

Stand Back/Little Red Corvette Mash-Up
This is absolutely the best mash-up of all time! I've had it for a while but didn't discover it's fabulocity until yesterday (I listened to it like 20 times, mind you). What could be better than 2 of my favorite songs of all time mashed together? Whoever did this, you are a God/Goddess! And you know how Stevie said she was inspired to write Stand Back after she heard Little Red Corvette and that the chords are similar and the whole Prince playing on it/connection? BTW, the "Stand Back" that is labeled as the "Disconet Remix" is incorrect. That is actually the 1992 DiscoTech Remix. I have the vinyl and the CD from DiscoTech.
