Your Dream Farewell Tour Setlist?

So Stevie's getting on up there in age and a 'Farewell Tour' is, unfortunately, growing more and more inevitable as the years pass us by so what do you hope to see in a 'Farewell Set'? Unreleased material performed live? More risks? An 'Enchanted' styled setlist with b-sides and soundtrack songs? Or a classic themed Stevie set with a few added surprises? After long thought, I figure this would please both the 'general' audience while still entertaining us die-hards with a few classics sprinkled throughout while maintaining the thought that Stevie would still pimp-out the obvious solo standouts as well as the FM staples. Though this is no-where close to realistic in terms of how long my set is for a Stevie show, I stand by the thought it'd be a damn good show;

01 Outside The Rain
02 Dreams
03 Enchanted
04 Gold And Braid
05 Annabel Lee
06 Sorcerer
07 Gold Dust Woman
08 Stop Draggin' My Heart Around
09 Blue Denim
10 Talk To Me
11 Stand Back
12 Rhiannon
13 Moonlight
14 Whole Lotta Trouble
15 If You Ever Did Believe
16 Landslide
17 Fall From Grace
18 Edge Of Seventeen
19 After The Glitter Fades
20 Leather And Lace

TerraRhiannon 04-26-2013 08:40 AM

Well Stevie said herself she hopes to be rocking out on stage well into her '80s, so we won't see a Stevie farewell tour for a while.

Actually I take that back, when she's in her 80's, I'd dare her to do a world tour. It will most likely be single shows and small venues at that point. (Shudder at thought of her on stage at 86, bless her heart.)

My stevie farewell tour dream setlist: (unsure about sequencing)

How Still My Love
Crystal
Leather & Lace
Talk To Me
Blue Denim
If Anyone Falls
Stand Back
Sister Honey
Gold Dust Woman
Sorcerer
Landslide
Outside the rain
Rhiannon
Rooms on Fire
Sara
New Orleans
Edge of Seventeen

Fleetwood Mac dream farewell setlist:

Monday Morning
The chain
Rhiannon
I'm so Afraid
Big Love

I hope I'm gone before Stevie quits the biz .I'm not that far from her in age.
I hope she will continue up into her later age.

I feel sorry about Glen Campbell .I wish I had a chance to go see him.He had to quit do to altimers.

I see country artists in the 80's still perform on the Grand Ole Opry.

Ok I have to say She can sing anything that her heart desires .I will be there for her.

Stevie will rock until she can't anymore. She's got a lot of songs she could just do ballads with.

mitzo 04-27-2013 02:19 AM

And mix of old and new ballads sung with a full orchestra.

Why are we discussing her last tour if all of you dont mind asking.I know we are getting older .It sounds depressing talking about this.

BLY 04-27-2013 11:21 AM

I like all the set lists without her Fleetwood Mac songs........It gives plenty of room for more of her rarities she hasn't performed.

dark stevie 04-27-2013 07:00 PM

she appears and says.....

".....welcome to the last night of this very LAST tour.....this is special for US (her & band) because WE ("us" and her & band)wish it wasnt over...but ..thank u for being here....i'm STILL so honored that u came..."

she sings "she loves him still".....

then i dont care if she "sits down and crochets...." then...."sings a vocal"...... "crochets"..."tells a story"...."crochets"..."takes a nap"........ LM*O

windbecame 04-28-2013 01:43 AM

Don't sweat it, Macfan (Skippy). I see this as another opportunity to recreate another "Enchanted" tour or Best of. We all know in media Stevie has said several times she will Rock until she can't. This is Make Believe, which most of us here like.

If my set was accurate, then I would have to replace 3-5 songs for newer ones that she has yet to record or do a final recording of a demo. I'm not giving up hope that We Will See and Hear some previous demos finalized. Hmm..2014 sounds about right for a new batch of songs and/or Enchanted II. :D

Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention or ask how many times has Tina and Cher said "this is the farewell tour" and then came out of retirement 2 yrs. later? I'm counting twice all-together (my math could be wrong)

Ok I see what you mean and agree about Tina and Cher.

Others throw the towel in and continue like the Eagles . Barbra Streisand just name a couple.

Who knows my country faves Alabama and Brooks and Dunn might come back alive soon.

Agreed ..that is probably it for Fleetwood Mac..that one final cash grab. I predict that Stevie will tour until she is 80ish although she should retire now.

She ruined it all. She can't really sing anymore. These geriatric stars are addicted to the fame, though. Being on stage makes them feel like... viable product.

Bless her heart(that's southern for **** ***).

I saw her on New Years Eve, ONLY because it was FREE, and 3 blocks from my house.:lol::lol:

bombaysaffires 01-25-2020 09:20 PM

I'd like her to finish out with a final small, intimate show in a theater or club, where she wasn't belting out big and loud to a large audience. I'd like it to be filmed and performed almost like in a small jazz club or something where the performer feels like they are performing for close friends and not for a screaming arena full of strangers. Her music at its best is intimate and personal and I've always wished she had done that kind of small intimate show. Her storytellers show came the closest to that vibe, but none of her tours really have. She should have her early musicians-- Roy Bittan, Benmont, Sharon and Lori and her, around a piano with maybe drums and bass and not much else.

You recently mentioned she has a 2 octave range. I'll take that or a one octave range as long as she continues to tour. Believe me, most hardcore fans are bored sheetless with the same set of songs but it really is still such a thrill to see her live. She has a uniqueness that fans flock to see just to be a part of her magic. And she continues to have that magic at all her concerts, even when one is bored with hearing a song for the umpteenth time.

You sir, are full of goat doody!!!

I have NEVER said that $he had a two OCTAVE range!(or if I did, believe me, it was a joke!) $he's never had a two octave range.

You know, unless you're confusing two octave range with a three NOTE range.:lol::lol:

I think that’s a great idea.
She could use her voice in a quieter way, without her voice being so strident,
she would have a greater range. She would sound fabulous in a bluesy, jazzy, folksy club.
Film it and release it.

As I hate to see this day but I really do think the live full shows for her should end. A one off of doing Landslide every know and then is fine but it’s time to retire from the live performances. I know Stevie likes to stay busy which does keep her young. I think it’s time to focus on the other stuff......recording,writing,drawing etc...
