What a difference an apostrophe makes. :eek:

It shouldn't have the apostrophe.

With the apostrophe, "You're jam-- it tastes the sweetest to me" is saying "You are jam-- it tastes the sweetest to me"

When really the line is saying your jam is sweeter than any other jam to me. So you need the possessive 'your'

"Your jam, it tastes the sweetest to me".

And I agree with the poster who said in one of these threads that that line sounds a bit naughty...

- I'm pretty sure it's 'Farewell Velveteen', not 'Liberty', which obviously carries connotations withn the band... I wonder when Lindsey wrote the lyrics?

Velveteen is a cloth made in imitation of velvet. :lol::lol:

I was also considering the "YOU'RE honey in my tea" and trying to make it tie in with that.

Of course having inadvertently written a song for Bill Clinton before now, the line "Your jam it tastes the sweetest to me" could easily be about Monica Lewinsky...

I think it's more of a tea and crumpets imagery, but what magnets and steel have to do with that I don't know. so you might be quite correct.

Who has truncated this thread and why? I put the Red Sun lyrics in here a couple days ago and now nothing after May 5th is showing.

It looks like quite a few threads across a number of forums have jumped back a few days. It doesn't seem to be all threads as quite a few are still showing 'yesterday' as post dates. However, there do seem to be quite a few that have been lost. Is The Ledge under a cyber-attack? :confused:

Posts from June 1st until yesterday's afternoon are gone. At first I thought I did something wrong and my posts were deleted but then I realized they're all goooone! :shrug:
